We should have paratroopers and air bridges ready to deploy in 24 hours, we should have more traditional boots on the ground within days. If someone attacks India, you are telling me we will take 2 weeks to defend ourselves. If we can defend ourselves immediately, we should also be able to attack and grab territory immediately.
All branches of military should be ready to go. The % of the resources in active deployment can be on rotation.

The full blown war will set us a decade back but it will also help us purge our inside snakes from our institutions. As i had posted over PBM article that it was to throw pakistani army under the bus. The same it seems is happening from Congressi side now as expected. Manish Tewari's piece is just to prepare that ground work. A war is what the congressis want to create chaos and use our internal snakes later to pummel modiji for the disproportionate action and sabotage our economy.
The best pathway i see is to adopt Chinese bullying techniques. We are a bigger power so we can attrition the pakis in a limited theatre more easily.
We should haress the pakis now. Force them to keep their forces on International border and let the Baluchi, Talibani and Paktun insurgents establish their own defacto zones. The more we keep the Pakistani army tied up in border the more the insurgents can entrench themselves in pakistan. This is our best bet. A full blown war will be seen as a jihad on that side. We don't want those millions of pig hordes on our border.
So, a limited slami slicing over next few years is enough to bleed out pakis. We inturn should also impose a naval blocade on pakistan. Isolate the pakis and grind them slowly. This is the only right option. Bully them just sort of full war. It will be enough for them.
In three four years when we have nearly doubled our economy we can take them out permanently. Our navy will be big our artillery will be finetuned and our own industries will be lubed than sudden escalation to take out their offensive capability is more than enough. Full blown war is not the option but if it comes to it, if pakistan imposes it we should than go full blown bat shit crazy on them.

You sound very stupid. I have actually been to the Himalayas, there is military every fucking 1/2 km. We should be able to retaliate immediately and have war games ready.
Been to siliguri corridor, Sikkim (Nathu La), Changu Lake, Darjeeling etc.
The amount of bases and people we have doesn’t necessitate 2 weeks to hit back.
