Pahalgam Islamic Terror Attack

There is something called Peacetime/No war time. At that time your average IAF jet availability will be less, Naval Ships will be in Maintenance, Tanks will be in maintenance Yard reserves. MIC like Adani, SSS will operate on reduced Manpower and reduced production output. Now GOI wants to go for war,

Now

1. IAF needs to increase the availability, which takes time.
2. IN needs to get all ships online, which takes time.
3. IA Tanks needs to lubricated, which takes time.
4. SSS/Adani needs to increase the production rate, which means Employees needs to work in OT with proper shift planning.

All these will take the time which we called prep time. Even the greatest US Armed forces will take time to start the machine.

Now if we start the war immediately, depends on the scale, What if IA ran out of NATO 5.6x45mm round, they need to ask MIC guys to supply, now without having the time to increase the production rate, they cannot supply sufficient amount which may end up in shortage. Same with simple Artillery shell.

We can go for war once everything is ready. That is the time we are taking.

Now do we go for short term war. Don't know. Does the sign shows it will be throwing punches? Maybe
None of the prep matters if we don’t attack. India’s problem is decision paralysis. We need a catalyst for having a bias towards action. This requires skin in the game from day one towards an outcome that is clear and well planned out during peacetime. I’m not asserting that we need operational readiness from day one but we should have initiatives and outcomes planned out from day one that we can greenligjt and operationalize. Right now the politicians and generals are doing this post attacking, we can avoid this 2 week delay by doing this work upfront. Once the army gets the go ahead, I doubt we need more than 48 hours to mobilize.

This.

There is no military that is battle ready 24/7.
There is no military industrial complex that is battle ready 24/7.

Just imagine the stupidity of some idiot asking why our tanks and infantry are not always at the border ready to go.
How do you even answer to morons like that!

I’m not sure if a full-blown war would set us back by a decade, but these terrorist attacks have already set us back by three. While China has become a $17.4 trillion economy, India is still celebrating reaching the $4 trillion mark—and there’s a reason for that.

Terrorist attack putting us 3 years back. What is this new magic?

You want India to grow fast, an simple GDSP will show out of 29 states ball lifting is being done by atmost 9-10 states. If 15 states contributing, the economy will bigger, if it is 20 states then we will be in serious economic heft.

A percentage of our military is battle ready 24/7. Otherwise any country can invade any other country unchecked.

Did Pakistan think about when it sent their mujahideen across: you are the type to psychoanalyze why you got slapped when a bully hits you instead of using your fight or flight response.
But the Mujahids also took preparation time of few weeks, to strategize, plan, sneak inside, hide till the opportune moment etc. Ain't so.
Why do I feel I am talking to a teen/preteen kid

For the scale you are demanding, it would take at least 3 months to mobilize, especially if you want to send our men across the border.

perhaps off topic but i think, a lot of soyceal media discourse is comprised of edgelord ka chodas, bhosdapillers, followers of some gyaanchodas, "trendy" or "attention whores" guys who may have little to nothing in name of grey matter in their khopadiya - means they're overall just venting out that hot gases in their heads for most part

these are what we usually call 'useful idiots' in our discussions, that too bottom of the barrel ones, the real ideological adversaries are far more sophisticated and sinister in their arguments

so it's futile to argue with them when they have usual one-two liners in their arsenal

Exactly that works when you have the intention to attack unprovoked. You set the cadence and have first mover advantage. India should move from defensive posture to offensive to get the same benefits. That means we should be okay doing unprovoked attacks.

It is consistent with what I said. You need to operationalize during peacetime so your assets are at the border. One strategy is continuous war gaming or exercises where assets can be diverted at anytime for an actual attack.

3 decades not 3 years, These terrorist attacks have harmed the Indian economy far more than full-fledged wars ever have.
And these terrorists who targeted innocent people didn’t ask about their state, caste, language, or ethnic identity—they killed them simply for being Hindu.

People thing they are trendy. If they are working in IT, just mail to their Social team and tag them you have terror sympathizers. Lot of MNC will kill anyone to save reputation. Jeetas will be jobless immediately.

He’s not wrong.

Most indian KIA was from mine placements because the mines were ww2 era and most indian troops and battalions were embedded in the proxy war in kashmir.

Army Generals requested more modern mines from MOD but were denies

100 dead 250 injured in early mobilization during mine laying , many more from arty cross border firing . total 798 dead , two decades later theaterisation still not completed and people here want us take pok

There is difference between battle ready Vs being ready for a war.

It's not just the men that need to ready.
at a very high level following need to happen

1. battle plan ready across sectors
2. men, machines, food, ammo, mobile hospitals moved to different sectors
3. Supply chains established for continuous supply of ammo, guns, missiles, food, blood, medicine etc
4. Industries ramping up to meet the demand. Not just the military industrial complex but also civilian
5. Deals with other countries to ensure spare parts and necessary equipment are in continuous flow.

and a host of other things.

There is not a single country on this earth that can do all this in a month, let alone 48 hours

100 dead 250 injured in early mobilization during mine laying , many more from arty cross border firing . total 798 dead

two decades later theaterisation still not completed and people here want us take pok
that time period also includes deaths by CI OPs, which had the most deaths

The “750” number is very misleading.

The US military's response time can vary significantly, ranging from a few hours to several months, depending on the type of crisis and the specific units involved. Rapid reaction forces like the Immediate Response Force (IRF) can deploy globally within 18 hours. For more complex deployments or major conflicts, response times can stretch into weeks or even months.
