I live in India 1/2 the year. Posting from India right now. I was in Siliguri corridor with my Kid and Wife 2 weeks ago. I almost went to Ladakh instead but decided against it because of the high altitude. My kid is too young to handle it. So this does hit home for me. India needs to solve it once and for all. Pakistan is weak vis a vis India. We bitch and moan about Indira walking away empty handed in 1971, we are no different today.

india need to accumulate loads of drone to attack. And it will be great if we fight with modern warfare.
We must realise this for future as well.
China turkey will directly help Pakistan. We shouldn’t be shocked to see this. We are decently prepared for Pakistan but it would have been great if we had rafael m , drones and many more atgm. But we missed that train now, I hope in future we must invest heavily in drone and modern warfare.

Very sensible take. I also hope we remember it and take our sweet time to avenge. We have the discretion to choose. Why not put it to full use.

We should really fight in peak Winter or during monsoon when we can flood them. In meantime we should do some preparatory earthwork too on those new sources of water. I am very very excited about them.

Most of the Indians simply want few action reels to satisfy their ego. All this BS about international community is with India now and won't be on our side few months later, does it make any logical sense? Our folks would be disappointed. On the topic of making the conflict expensive for Porki scum, here is what I found from few sources. I am not attaching the sources as you know military secrets are never accurate they are only a approximation and speculation by the sources. But let's analyze what's approximation and speculation. As we all know Air force is the biggest Achilles heel of the 3 branches. Here is what I found.

Americans in 2008 and 2009 have supplied 500 AIM-120C AMRAAM missiles to Pakistan. There are many versions of this missile. It's previous iteration were AIM-120A and AIM-120B. They were used in the 90s and is no longer in production. It's recent and most modern iteration is AIM-120D used in F-22 raptor as well. Now AIM-120C itself has 4 variants. AIM-120C-3/4, AIM-120C-5, AIM-120C-6, AIM-120C-7.

• Keep in mind they have been given AIM-120C-5 missile almost 500 in number 15 years ago. It's effective range is 120km. Because it was delivered to them 15 years ago, it's possible they have been degraded to some extent and it's effective range reduced. It's unit cost is $1 million. It's 100% possible to believe this number as these missiles were delivered for Porki filth by Americans for "War against terrorism" during those times. That is why they were very careful not to use this missile in 2019 unless necessary. Because Uncle Sam won't be generous to deliver $500 million worth of AMRAAM missiles next time.

• They have another Air-Air missile that is PL-15 integrated with JF-17 and J-10. It was inducted in 2016 with Chinese air force. They claim a huge range of 200-300 kms, however it's export version PL-15E only has a range of 145km. JF-17 radar is limited. So it won't be able to exploit the full potential of this missile. Having said that it is reported in some sources they bought ~250 PL-15 missiles along with the purchase of J-10C. Assuming a unit cost of $1 million, total deal for just PL-15 missiles alone would be $250 million. Right now they have 20 J-10 fighters. So each J-10 fighter gets 12-13 missiles. It's believable they have these numbers. If recent news is to be believed Chinese sent few batches of PL-15 missiles again.

As you can see these missiles are freaking expensive. Just to equip their fighters with air-air missiles they would need $1 billion at the bare minimum. While their finance minister is begging Chinese for another $1.5 billion loan. Dodging those missiles or completely neutralizing will give a massive demoralizing effect on their air force. Using a combination of area denial with our air defense systems and electronic counter measures we can dodge them. Every time they miss they will have to change tactics and be very cautious before they press the fire button.

Well those conditions existed and was even more potent in 1971.

US desperately needed Pakistan and wanted to get rid of India. While the Chinese were engaging the Americans through Pakis. Pakis were economically stronger and more important geopolitically. If we had worried about the behind the scenes games played by powers, would have never able to cut pakis in half.

There exists no USSR today, India is on its own, This precisely make situation more dicey. Actually situation is akin to 1962 geopolitically.

All those conditions existed in past, exists present and will continue to exist in future. So what we need now is decisive action. A complete destruction of Pakistan. Fuck everything else.

Pakistan is already on it own treading on that way. We shall be just accelerating the process.

Or else these guys even on life support will be killing our grand kids 100 years later.

The way our system is setup: Choice is between either above getting minimized to minimum or imploding Pakistan - paving way to having your 100 kids and their kids greenified

I want him to win but he will lose the mandate of the people if he doesn’t act decisively.

Naah .. the ATAGS has lineage from GC45 via kalyanis other offerings its not a new thing that DRDO cooked up. Their contribution was the FCS and integration into the armys OODA loop (I forget the name of the artillery net)

Hi @karn do you have any link which states this. More for my curiosity.
I was always under the impression that ATAGS came out of some inspiration from Haubits/Bofors, but as clean sheet design and Tata and Bharat Forge were looped in a production partners, rather than DRDO learning from Bharat Forge(remember, it was BF who had the blueprints) and then in turn making Bharat Forge and Tata a production partner.
