There has been a crackdown of sorts on these things. For example if you are caught with another countries passport along with an indian one the indian one gets revoked,, I remember some journo that used to cross freely between both countries like this wrote a long article about how some heartless babu cancelled hers. Big difference is NRI 's bring billions in foreign exchange, these people only bring future
terrorists. Getting a visa or OCI card is not easy for many in USA there is very careful
screening going back a few generations to make sure pakistani ancestry is not there
and if there is it may mean delays or rejections.
