"to reduce tensions as the Indian PM is pushing people of both countries to war." :pound:

perhaps pakis miss the good old days, where focus was entirely on apologies given and accepted on supposedly something that was never said .

You can directly visit Leh by flight..Leh district is Buddhist majority and Kargil is Shia muslim majority..
My cousin holidayed in Leh last week..
Flight from Delhi.. Most tourist spots are in Leh district..
i plan to ride a motorcycle from manali to Leh. But my mode of transportation in Ladakh is not the issue.
What i care for, is not being 'Pahalgam-ed' by a jihadi by a random ladakhi lake.
And i usually go off the beaten path wherever i go travel - i got stuck for half a day staring down a goat across a mountain path in middle of nowhere colombia once. (its rope was long enough to cover the path, the other side of the path was straight down cliff and i know goats -it wants to push u off the mountain).

So high chance if i go to ladakh, i am gonna go where hardly any tourists ever go.

I have made my view clear. So I am not going to dance around with when the retaliation will happen. It's far better to discuss capabilities of our armed forces and also of our enemy's.

I was looking up with regards to Radar technology. Even though Porki filth have 161 JF-17 aircrafts only 23 of them which are block 3 have AESA radar which is air cooled and presents it's own problems with respect to performance because of heat generation from TR modules. Rest of the JF-17 fleet has mechanical steered array radars whose range is piss poor something like <120km. The radars on their older F-16s have AN/APG-66 which is basically 1970s technology. Even their F-16 block 52+ don't have a AESA radar. J-10C has a AESA radar. However, it's capabilities are unknown at this point in time.

It looks like we are close to building our own AESA radar. We already have Uttam AESA radar made with Gallium Arsenide technology with 900 TR modules. And it is reported to have detected Tejas which has a RCS of just 1 sq.m at 140 km away. Next version of Uttam AESA will be based on Gallium Nitride technology which will offer improved performance. And another giant AESA radar Virupaksha with 2400 TR modules is in development which will be used in SU-30MKI as a part of Super Sukhio upgrades starting next year. Rafales already have a AESA radar. Hopefully all our aircrafts have our very own AESA radar.

Y'all nibbiars know how we can counter their tracker/wheeled arty?
Do we have the types of drones necessary for that in inventory?

There are a number of things:
1) Modi's image (internal + external):
I think our priest king is in a super tight spot (the tighest he's been ever).
On one hand his quote splashed world over "This is not an era of war"....on the other hand nation's mood and the expectation of a major kinetic response is something that cannot be underestimated.
There is dichotomy of ideas around whether to do a "drip" as Nitin G pointed out and go for the long haul or use the element of surprise with short targeted attacks and finish the game.
2) China angle...
Some members are referring to saying what if China opens a front and how will we respond. While that is true...China has its own interests in supporting Pak in a very limited manner.
Reason: If they don't interfere in Indo - Pak theatre then they would expect India to not intefere when they absorb Taiwan....In this case trump will still remain a bystander and atmax impose another 100% tarriff.

My take: India's MEA is the strongest bet which has delivered time and again in such situations and made India a soft power...Our defence is still the weakest link among all departments due to reasons best known to govt and DFB members.
Note that BJPs succession planning is pretty poor as well...
Modi has pressure both internal (within party, RSS - remember Mohan Bhagwat's visit, expectations from people) and external (tone down agreession mode from US, Saudi and others).
If he's able to wiggle out from this situation he'll be unchallenged for the next few years...else Shah, Yogi and RSS are already in the line.

From punishing Pakistan, they have now reduced it to punishing each terrorist.
Modi Amit shah Kadi ninda or Jayashankar none has taken Pakistan name or blamed Pakistan for Pahalgam attack. It’s been terrorist will be hunted. It’s only clown media jumping for TRP making their own war room graphics.

qatar issued a statement, did they speak with EAM?
They did issue a statement.. the usual template about "condemn" the attack thing regardless of motivation and justification ..blah blah..
Nothing in the media about EAM or any higher office talking to them.

The only solace that you can take here that IA has good fire finding radars. And guided pinaka will come in clutch for counter battery.
And the only thing that towed artillery is better than the self propelled ones is durability, russians hit m777 multiple times with lancet but it stayed in operation. But if you destroy the SPH vehicle the gun goes out of action and thing will have to go for overhaul if not be a complete write off.

That's saudi missile 180 patriot missile I think..
Brooo after all that time on the Ukraine russia war thread how can you forget this masterpiece.
