I don't understand this. Why would IAF conduct exercises so close to the border?

Wouldn't our aircrafts be exposed to their radars where they can record our aircraft's RCS signature? If they fly their AWE&C in close proximity then they can pick up lot more intelligence. Something is cooking, I love the fact it is keeping us on our tenterhooks but at the same time I feel like scratching my head.

Having paxtan mobilised and deployed majority of its forces at LOC and Punjab bordering areas already, what if they attempt a preemptive strike. Are we ready with subsequent mobilisation and rapid deployment believe it wont happen overnight. It takes week to fully materialize the complete deployment

Hope Mudi and the Armed forces are prepared for a Pakistani first strike as well.. and not just laughing their a** off thinking of scaring off Pakistan with meetings and opening and closing Dam gates... Pakistan has mobilized significant part of its Army to the border.. and might be tempted to answer Indian Dam related actions with a strike..

Hope India isn't caught with its pants down again after Pahalgam.. After all mobilization after being slapped like in Kargil, is a lot more costlier than being ready to block Pakistan's attack..

And what’s the end game after their preemptive land invasion ?

They stroll inside, take some 15-20 km territory, kill people, declare Gazwa e Hind ?

What’s world gonna say ? “Yeah looks cool, you just invaded & killed the citizens of the country which accused you of, well, killing their citizens in a military operation?”

How do now Pakistan plan to handle 500+ million angry military aged population backed by 4T economy and negative global support from commiting warcrimes on their strip of pure land ?

There is an water war slowly brewing in Afghanistan with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Apparently Afghanistan is working on an canal to bring the water from Amu Darya river I believe. Uzbeks were concerned since this is the critical river for their Cotton production. This may create an problem for Afghanistan.

SU-57 is an turd. SU-75 is an paper turd. We will end up buying an airframe and will add our own avionics. Rather spend the money on AMCA development.

Just bring TASL into the play and see the production/Quality improves. Also HAL babus start to work more diligently.
Even if you bring tasl tomorrow and they right away start amca's prototype fabrication (very unlikely ) still it will take 3 years for first prototype to show up and after that atleast 10 years more to join the service that's like 13 years from now on. Do you want iaf to get it's first 5thgen figher in 2038? SU-57 is surely not the best fighter jet around but with indian avionics and al51 it will be surely something that can be used as a stopgap solution until AMCA comes up.

P8i is maritime surveilance aircraft. It pretty much collected data from that PN Naval activity.

It is lot more than that. During Galwan clashes we regularly used P8 for surveillance along the border with China. Although it's purpose is Anti-submarine warfare, it seems to be very good at signal intelligence too. The one good thing IAF has done is to buy a dozen of them. Just one of the very few good things they have done compared to other fuckups.

These air exercises on 7/8 sound ominous. Is there a possibility that it converts into the real deal?

Like repeatedly go to the border and turn multiple times , and then suddenly they don't turn and keep going in?

The real deal is happening over UKD... Exercise Dhruvtara... from 6th to 11th may... where they maybe simulating/practicing aerial war over J&K

Someone on twitter had a very interesting take on this matter.

Everyone is saying India is not mobilizing its army and they are correct. We will wait to mobilize till the very last minute and then it will be the updated version of cold start. Once initiated, no turning back

UN is irrelevant their resolutions are irrelevant. Porkis crying like a bitch is irrelevant…
We use UN as a tool ( Uncle Sam support) to make a bitch of Porkistan.
Putin started a war… Israel ceased ghaza what did UN did nothing. So porks crying in UN is irreleavnt earlier we used to cry in UN on Kashmir but now tables turned.
Russees/joos are not sem2sem as us. We can’t do what they do. Being seen as ‘good boi’ in the UN/other international forums is the cornerstone of our MEA strategy. So yes unfortunately a toothless UN is still relevant in our context.

Well.. their bet is.. at worst they are gonna be kicked back to the LOC.. IT has worked for them before

There are no friends or enemies in geopolitics. Only mutual interests
Wah yours is an old statement but we have mutual benefits with Middle East , America and Europe. Even china.
Still Middle East and us will be seen with paki.

There are some relationships and diplomacy both.
Russia France are tried andTested . Russia get much more benefits from paki and china relationship.

You can benefit anywhere but u have past relationship which you must maintain.

Not horrendous, but possessing an obvious slant i.e that Modi and his government are ultimately responsible, because they assumed all was fine in Kashmir. Alludes to some Pakistani retaliation for Jaffa express attack, doing the equal-equal game.

To paraphase J.S Deepak, if you leave your house unlocked and thieves break in, the main villains are the thieves, not the homeowner, who was being careless. Save the massive share of outrage for the thieves, or murderers at Pahalgam. Not to anyone else, though the latter can certainly be criticised for laxity or naivete.
