Russian Ukrainian War

Kyiv’s European allies eye once-taboo ‘land-for-peace’ negotiations

European allies are increasingly bracing for Ukraine-Russia negotiations that could include territorial concessions in return for security guarantees for Kyiv.

BRUSSELS — Among Ukraine’s European allies, there is a quiet but growing shift toward the notion that the war with Russia will end only through negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow involving concessions of Ukrainian territory.

The conversation has taken on greater urgency with the election victory of Donald Trump, who has said he would quickly end the war, without detailing how, and has signaled he could back a deal that keeps some seized territory in Russian hands. In Europe, the closed-door discussions have also been fueled by a bleak battlefield situation, with Ukrainian forces on the defensive and fears of dwindling U.S. funding.

I mean it's good, atleast with any cheese-fire/peace treaty Ukraine gets to keep all the major cities as compared to (((bleed Russia till the last Ukranians))) like the Amerishart deepstate was going with

When did Ukrainian parliament notified laws for occupied territories??

Why you lie so much. Red Army also consists of Ukrainians, you share same value as Russia for red army.

Or are you accepting now that Ukraine is a Banderites land?

What were they doing thousands of miles away in France?
Indeed, my grandfather fought in the Red Army. But there is a difference - no one occupied us, unlike Lithuania.
Although there are different opinions. One of the options is that Ukraine was occupied. But I don't think so. Some Ukrainian politician created the UPR and this republic was recognized only by the German Empire. They bet on the wrong number in roulette.

Yet another article preparing Western public sentiment for dumping Ukraine

If elections were held tomorrow, Mr Zelensky would struggle to repeat the success of the landslide win he secured in 2019. Nearly three years into the Russian invasion, he is no longer seen as the undisputed war leader he once was. Internal polling seen by The Economist suggests he would fare badly in a run-off against Valery Zaluzhny, the other wartime hero. The former commander-in-chief was dispatched to be ambassador to Britain after falling out with the president last year. He has not made his political ambitions clear yet, though many are urging him to run.

The deteriorating situation on the front lines is already rippling through society. Dmytro Povorotny, a military chaplain, sees it in the new soldiers he speaks to. “There are a lot of unmotivated men. They are fighting because that’s the only way they stay alive.” The army is censoring the most negative news to avoid fanning flames back home, he says. A senior military official agrees

For all the talk in Kyiv and other capitals about an end to war, most of those who spend time on the front lines understand that a lot of fighting is still to be done. Vladimir Putin holds the initiative, and it looks unlikely that he would offer a ceasefire until several battles are resolved. In Kurakhove, Russian forces are outnumbering Ukrainian forces by at least six to one, and a Ukrainian retreat seems inevitable soon. Ukraine is on the back foot in the Kursk region it in turn occupies, where Russia is trying to push its soldiers out with the assistance of thousands of North Korean troops. Fighting is also beginning in Zaporizhia province for what Ukrainian intelligence believes will be an assault on the provincial capital, an important industrial hub. “You’ve got to work within reality,” says Father Povorotny. “You can’t tell war to stop and wait.”

They would normally downplay any Russian successes in the past, now slowly they are producing these articles about Zelensky unpopular, morale issues at the front, Russia gaining land etc.

Another thing this article suggests is Jholenskyy's chief rival for President of Ukraine is Valeri Zaluzhny, a 4 start Ukranian Army General who is now their Ambassador to UK.

Per the people it would be quite easy to accept a military general to lead the nation in times of war rather than some 2rs actor-politician-comedian combo

Fits with my theory that they would pull the plug with a Democrat govt in power over Jholenskyyy being overthrown by a Nazi/Military coup, but since Trump's there now he can pull the plug without any reason

Trump said he could end this war in a day after taking office. He could only if he gives Russia everything they want and Ukraine agrees to that.

Ukranis only holding on with their bravery and Western support, specifically Americunt support, Euros still haven't got their shit together after being in a (((peace dividend))) coma for 30 years.

It is why Jhollenzkyyy was screeching everywhere for MoAr WeApOnS

The Amerisharts knew about this invasion from way before, they could have easily given the Ukies the Himars and F16 even 5 years ago from 2022, let alone from 2014 itself, they would be fully trained and accustomed to using all those platforms ,possibly co-production agreements would mean Ukies could produce some of the stuff themselves.

But no, this is the evil of the Americunts, they want their puppets to die trying to (((bleed Russia))), not be victorious, not come out in a better shape after war, use and throw is what they plan to do to the Ukies.

An episode of the movement of a column and landing of troops of the Russian BMP-2 in Novoivanovka, Kursk region of Russia. The BMP-2 as part of a column consisting of a T-72 tank and five BMP-2s broke through to Ukrainian positions in the settlements of Zeleny Shlyakh and Novoivanovka. The column split into two parts, during the movement of the column one of the tanks was hit by a strike, presumably by a drone, it is not clear from the video how much the tank was damaged. The video shows the landing of troops from the Russian BMP-2 in the village of Novoivanovka and the attack of a Ukrainian grenade launcher from behind a building, as noted in the video. The BMP-2 was attacked twice, the first grenade launcher strike was tangential, the second grenade launcher shot into the ground. The BMP-2 was not damaged and landed troops.

A Rheinmetal 30 mm round cost more than a 152 mm Russian shell.. UK WEst Germany were defense industrial behemoths during cold war.. Now, all of EU combined cant produce a third of land warfare armaments as russia like rockets, ATGMs , artillery shells, SAM missiles etc.... Actually ex soviet republics like Romania can produce a lot more ammo than these western Europeans..
AMerican industry also hollowed after cold war, as did Russia.. But, Putin rebuilt mass production capacity to a fair level.. Even US industry although a lot better than EU, is in no shape to fight a long attrition war..

But, Ukraine as the defending party can still fight with a fraction of the ammo spent by Russia.. Russia is gaining ground faster now, and Ukranian losses rise as the ammo disparity increased in Russia's favor.. But, kudos to Ukranian courage for not folding..

. But, kudos to Ukranian courage for not folding..

Yes i wonder what's behind this, Americunt programming them psychologically in the 8 years between Maidan and the invasion?

Ukranians being a "normal" people unafflicted by leftist, liberal pozz?

I think it's the latter, Don't expect any other Western Europoid to fight continuously like this because they all have been demoralized by years of propaganda about war bad, soldier bad, patriotism bad etc

New Ukrainian skelatal heavy machinegun has serious post apocalyptic Metro vibes

In one of the scientific and research institutions of the Ministry of Defense, tests of the newest single machine guns chambered for 14.5×114 mm and 12.7×99 mm calibers are ongoing, representatives of the institution informed ArmiyaInform. The development of both models is carried out by a private enterprise that has been developing small arms for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for a long time. The new machine gun chambered for the 14.5×114 mm cartridge is designed to attack lightly armored targets, such as: armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles, fire equipment and enemy manpower behind light shelters. The new development will replace the KPV machine gun (KPVT) and has better characteristics. The new domestic weapon, after conducting tests and passing the appropriate procedures for acceptance into operation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, should replace the outdated KPVT as part of the main armament of Soviet-made APCs and BRDM. It is also planned to use it as an infantryman, with the possibility of mounting it on a machine. The second development undergoing testing, a machine gun chambered for the 12.7x99 mm cartridge, in terms of its characteristics, is a model similar to the Soviet NSV machine gun and the American Browning M2. The machine gun, after the acceptance of this weapon for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, should replace the outdated NSV. It is planned to be used as an infantry, bipod, easel, and also as a tank - to be installed on T-64 tanks. In the conditions of intensive use of the resource of large-caliber machine guns, new Ukrainian developments are in great demand and expected by the troops.

I know this information, but this is Trump's decision and we can't influence his thoughts in any way. Perhaps she will change her position when she is allowed access to classified information. Time will tell. I have already read and listened to many versions of various events. But this is all analytics, not an exact mathematical calculation like in chess. Analysts have different opinions.

The 170mm M1989 Koksan SPG is already in Russia.

I am surprised by the rest of Europe. There has been no Asian invasion of the European continent since the 15th century, but they sit like rabbits in front of a boa constrictor.

Mindset is that "he will stop at Ukraine", "NATO will protect us"
I agree with that since they are gaining land in Ukraine but it's not a steamroll.

If it was a steamroll then every somewhat large EU country would boost defense budget to 3% of GDP or more and the smaller countries would be begging for US bases

I'm not a Trump fan, but maybe he's right about not wanting to protect those who don't pay. Apparently wars are supposed to shake up society.
The UN signed a treaty in 1953 and forced North Korea to sit in its "reservation." Apparently the UN has lost its determination.

Well, you might know his feelings towards the Red Army, because your country did not recognize the occupation of the Baltic countries.
Baltics won't last 24 hours against now battle hardened Russian Army after this war ends & we've seen the might of NATO's 50 countries against a single one . Realistically this war ends only one way , with Russian victory ✌️. Donbass is gone & with a prolonged war of attrition Dnieper is not far way .

I already asked: What were the German troops doing at Stalingrad?
Then they turned the formidable German military machine into a battered bicycle and now the same thing is happening. The proof is Koksan on the railway platform.
