My point was on upcoming hostilities. I was able to read that NATO will now escalate.

Hello everyone! So I just heard about the recent drone strikes which the Ukrainian Military launched on Russian Airbases targetting military aircraft such as bombers.

According to the reports I have read, more than 40+ Russian aircraft were destroyed in the attack. We have FPV feed-footage released of these drones confirming the same too. According to Ukrainian intelligence sources, four Russian military airbases were targeted simultaneously in this attack: Belaya, Diaghilev, Olenya, and Ivanovo.

All I can say is that was some ingenious planning coupled with a lot of impressive firepower right there, I for one did not expect something like this from the Ukrainian side. I am very certain that Ukraine had got some help from the inside (Possibly Moles in the Russian Military) to do this because it doesn't look like they would have managed to accomplish this without otherwise. Throughout the Russo-Ukrainian war, we have heard innumerable cases of Russian defectors spying for Ukraine and sending intelligence and data back to them.

Ukraine launched these drones from trucks. Basically they used trucks as trojan horses (As Mobile drone launchers/vectors) to transport these drones near to the airbases after which these drones were launched in a sudden kamikaze style attack. Russians were taken by surprise here, I don't think they would have possibly anticipated Ukraine doing something like this deep inside Russia, at least not on such an unprecedented mass scale.

These are not the type of trucks that we would see our enemy use in carrying out such infiltration attacks on our airbases and military infrastructure. These designs would be a dead give away to their malicious cargo aka kamikaze drones.

The type of trojan horse vehicles which we will see being used in carrying out such complex operations would resemble the average civilian container trucks and Vans that we see on road in our day to day lives.

There is a very high possibility that right within our borders at this very moment, in some remote corner of India there is a big warehouse where cheap quad-copter drones are being assembled by illegal Bangladeshi immigrants and having explosives rigged to them, waiting to be transported en masse in a big truck to be driven near one of our military installations to carry out, you know what.

I strongly believe that these types of infiltration attacks using drones will be one of the first moves on Day-One by Pakistan & China if they were to start a full fledged war with us right now. During the recent conflict with Pakistan, India intercepted several Fateh ballistic missiles launched by Pakistan along with a huge barrage of drones too. Operation Sindhoor has proven the capability of Indian Air defences in repelling any sort of attack. China too knows this.

People over here on this forum rejoice over the idea that to counter PAF's upcoming J-35 Stealth aircraft, all we need to do is simply lob several dozen cruise missiles at airbases housing these planes and render the entire airport in operable so that the J-35s or any PAF aircraft can never take off in the first place. Now let me ask you this:

"Do you think that the enemy does not want the same? Do you think the enemy will leave any stone unturned in rendering our bases inoperable and stopping our fighters from taking off?"​

The answer: No, they won't. War is not fair, nothing is fair and square in war.

India is a very large country and owning to our large area and geography, any attempt to try a shock and awe campaign on our military installations by our adversaries will not work out very well because of our strong air defence systems. Ideally we need to fastrack our Air Defence System programs like Project Kusha, probably buy additional S-400 SAM Batteries, and thicken our AD cover. We need to prioritise in strengthening the AD network around our military installations and airbases. Also work on anti-drone systems is crucial too.

The enemy knows very well about our Air Defence capabilities, that is why they will resort to tactics using explosive rigged drones en masse (Like Ukraine did with Russia) on our forward operating bases.

So how can we counter and defend against a huge barrage of kamikaze drones launched from such a close distance towards our airbases and installations? Here is my opinion: The best and I repeat the best solution would be -

"To never let it happen in the first place. Like the saying goes in medicine "Prevention is always better than cure"."​

To prevent such an attack, we need to set up a stringent perimeter check within a radius of at least 4-5 kms (or more) of any military airbase or infrastructure to check on any suspicious vehicles which may possibly be carrying such cheap quad-copter drones.

Ukraine-Russia war has taught us many lessons on "HOW TO FIGHT AND HOW NOT TO FIGHT A WAR". I hope the Indian military is clossing monitoring the Russo-Ukrainian conflict and taking necessary lessons.

As for the last paragraph, I do think Indian military is learning from Rus- Ukr war.
Our nascent focus on Drones are example.
When the war has started, Most of the Indian Military was expecting Russia to wrap it up quickly. But Ukraine' s resistance had forced them out of their their comfort zone and take notes

I just commented on NUCLEAR WONK Scott Ritter timeline, while he was blabbering that Russia would use nukes, as its heavily amended "mooh nuclear Doctrine" where it says Russia uses nukes if it's Nuclear response infra is breached. It was breached in Full daylight.. I told him, that Russia or any other nation doesn't have the balls to use nukes..

Russia is like Pakistan in some ways... it hopes that it's Nuclear weapons would shield it against major western involvement, allowing Russia to conquer non nuclear Ukraine.. Just like Pakistan has been thinking that it's nukes will prevent it from getting f**ked by India, and that it can continue to execute terror attacks on India .

I don't think it's because they have nt been able to do it for last 3 years . It's because they did nt want to for some unknown reasons .If the guy is right about how important these bridges are that is a strategic bombing that should have happened in first week to stop any reenforcement and capture the east , instead of bombing electric infrastructures . This whole operation has been quiet confusing from start . I still remember some online trolls saying we are reestablishing soviet Russia 😅 , then troops returning from Belarus and focusing on eastern part ... May be putin still think they ll use those bridges to go to kyiv in future with tanks etc andplay soviet national anthem there .. That's galaxy level thinking 🤔

Details of the Ukrainian operation Spider Web, an attack by FPV drones on Russian military airfields, have become known. The operation was prepared for 1.5 years, it was planned to attack the airfields "Belaya" - Irkutsk region, "Olenya" - Murmansk region, "Ukrainka" - Amur region, "Dyagilevo" - Ryazan region, "Ivanovo" - Ivanovo region. As a result, 2 airfields were attacked, "Belaya" - Irkutsk region and "Olenya" - Murmansk region. It is worth noting that the operation was truly large-scale. To carry out the operation, a warehouse was rented in Chelyabinsk, hundreds of FPV drones were delivered there, and later "mobile wooden houses". It is possible that the FPV drones were assembled on site. These houses were placed on trucks, and FPV drones were hidden under their roofs. The wooden structures were designed in such a way that their upper part could be opened remotely. The video shows a truck in the Amur Region, if it and other trucks had arrived, there would have been more destroyed planes. Again, I am not too sure if Russia will consider this attack an escalation that warrants nuclear strikes. This drone attack is nothing but a Dirty Bomb improvised.

In my understanding, Russia will see it as an unconventional strike, and will not allow Ukraine to see it as an advantage that has made them nervous. Russia will stick to Its conventional war making and make it look like an atypical incident that they would like to forget.

Should Ukraine consider it a breakthrough that will have a domino effect on Russian intent and capabilities to fight this war? The answer is, yes, in theory.

Why am I saying this? Because Russia has lost me. It does not make any sense to me anymore, and I am guessing they are hiding something.

Ideally, they will escalate too and hit targets of their choice.

Also, there are high chances that the war may end soon.

Let us see what happens next.

Out of 127 strategic bombers, 41 were destroyed in the attack, AND reportedly one nuclear sub was damaged. These assets are stationed in 5 high-value military bases DEEP inside Russia.
NATO can claim ignorance, but this attack couldn't have happened without American satellite guidance. Starlink is just being used as an excuse. Reportedly, this was in the works for a year and a half. This is a major escalation. To add to that, Russia was caught with their pants down and sleeping. AND Putin has called it Russia's Pearl Harbour.

This is pretty much Putin's agnee pariksha. If he doesn't yield the hammer now, his power, along with the deterrence that is Russian military might, will fall apart. I honestly don't see Russia managing to save face after Op Spider.

I am skeptical of the numbers but regardless, it's a spit on Putin's face even if 3 were destroyed (AFAIK, there's only visual confirmation of those 3 from the drone footage Ukraine released so this is why I'm using the number). There is absolutely no recovering from this unless they genuinely achieve aerial superiority over Ukraine. Su-57 dalals, this is the time for your maal to shine. If they still don't use it or if they fuck up... It can be safely concluded that the bird in it's current form and numbers is a vaporware.

Hohohohohoho. Most so called 5th gen aircraft is vaporware onlee. Including F-35 and J-***. The houthis even managed to bag one.

Not just the Su-57s. His strategic bombers capable of long-range nuclear delivery were hit. He would never even need them to strike Ukraine, nuclear or otherwise. Even the modality of the attack screams of US involvement in real-time.
Putin needs to essentially use his hornets from the nest that was attacked, if you know what I mean. :)

Also, unrelated but kinda related, in November last year, I was rooting for Trump to become president. I genuinely thought ANYTHING is better than woke sleepy joe about to d.e.i, but my god is Trump testing that theory of mine. Having nuclear bum has no meaning, they will never be used.
For nuclear bum to be used it has to be fired first by someone else, putin would be 5 seconds away from getting gaddafi treatment and still he won't use nuclear bum.

Unique footage of the alleged hijacking of a Ukrainian LAV Super Bison armored personnel carrier by a Russian sabotage group. The location of the shooting is not reported. In the video, you can see a Ukrainian driver-mechanic running behind the armored personnel carrier, but he cannot catch up with it. Trojan horse type attack is only possible when there are traitors involved. This was not an AD failure. I have already explained this earlier. At the worst, it was a perimeter security issue. There may have been complacency on the part of security personnel -- we do not know that though.

Russia should have had a FCS integrated with SHORAD, gun data computer and director. This is the only thing that was missing.

As far as India is concerned, FCS was heavily used by India against Pakistanese drone incursions. More than 1K Pakistanese drones were shot down by India's FCS. It is a common sense that FCS should be deployed on all critical military installations across India.

Do I need to mention that a base also should be monitored by various sensors such as cameras, motion detectors, etc. ?
