Russian Ukrainian War

Trump has yet to commented on operation spiderweb. He can't be too happy about it. I don't know if this helps Ukraine at all. The TU 95 seems obsolete, (especially against Ukraine since it is so close) it was a long range bomber with a big payload of unguided bombs. Was it used against Ukraine? I can't find anything about them launching FAB bombs. This could hurt Ukraine and others share my opinion. "

Drone attack may do Ukraine more harm than good

Washington will be spooked by Ukraine’s willingness to target a piece of Russia’s nuclear triad without consultation, given the risks of nuclear escalation such a decision brings with it. Whether the Trump administration will impose consequences on Kyiv remains to be seen, but a cutoff of US military aid or intelligence sharing would further constrain Ukraine’s military on the eastern front, perhaps severely.

This operation has US written all around it . Do you seriously think Ukraine managed this without US assistance/ knowledge

Why is Ruski AF (formerly the frontal aviation) still MIA in the conflict?!?! It's not as if they are doing a stellar job preserving their hardware!! Just lost 40 odd strategic bombers sitting on the tarmac for fks sake!! Instead attack those airfields in Ukr and crater them. They are fixed infra and can't run and hide!!

No F16s or Mirages can fly then. I admit there will be costs since Ukr AD will engage them, but then it opens up chances to neutralize or degrade them. Ruskis at the moment have the luxury of quantity and a few losses are ok in the grand scheme of things. Ruskis seem to have lost the ability to think strategically!! Cant believe that they are the same stock that wiped the floor with Wehrmacht in 4 years, but can't handle Ukr.

Get a sense that Putin might pull a Manmohan and send a dossier to UN instead. If you dont have the marbles to do what it takes, dont start a war!!

There is a percentage of people who will always think the US knows everything and completely controls everything decision Ukraine makes. It's easy to say your a 100% sure of something. It makes me laugh when on the show "The traitors" people will say so and so is a faithful, and they are 100% sure of it. Well most of the time that person ends is a traitor, but it always makes me laugh. I think leaving a little wiggle roam should be the lesson of the day, something like I'm 95% sure. I'm curious to what Trump will say. It seems like if he really wants peace he would not of gone along with this. Trump should of left a little wiggle roam himself instead of saying he will end this on his first day in office.

So, this absolutely mental dumbass lindsey Graham is now threatening 500% tariffs on any country purchasing Russian oil, gas or uranium.

This bill has lot of support in the US senate and apparently 82 of the 100 senators are supporting it and expected to pass by end of month. EU supporting it as well.

So now 3 countries with the world's highest oil reserves are getting fully sanctioned (Iran, Venuzuela, Russia). I believe the ulterior motive is to keep US shale oil profitable. Crude is already $63 per brl and is expected to come down further in the next few months due to increased OPEC production and lower China demand.
US shale which is more costlier to extract as it involves fracking. Shale producers require a minimum of around $55-60 per brl to remain profitable.

Cant there be s counter tariff, of 700% on any goods we import from us ?
We wanted to work with both, really we we wanted to work with both.
But these bone headed measures are absurd at worst and evil at best .
India will either stop buying russian oil ( very hard , almost not almost absolutely impossible)
India levies counter tariffs on other american things, like their companies.
India , cancels the negotiations of any trade deal with the EU .

we have to stop buying roosi oil officially and look for "less visible" means to source it until other supply lines are established

3 biggest suppliers are all sanctioned who is left to buy from???
we will just have to pay ruzzia more to let us use their ghost fleet of tankers to move oil into the country that way. Also dolund has been giving mixed signals on Iran for a while maybe that route could open up by the end of the year if bibi keeps defying dolund on the iran deal.
I think we will have to pay the americans to buy their oil for at least the next few years. Dolund cutting taxes for oil drilling might lower prices of american crude somewhat, but i am not so sure about that. But making a big show of switching to america's crude might be big emotional "win" trump needs to let us of the hook about expensive US military hardware purchases.
Of course we will continue sourcing oil through less visible means like we are doing with Iranian oil right now.
And if dolund is intent on pushing us on every front we will have no choice but to retaliate. No matter what cost it may retract from the economy.

By buying Russian oil, India has saved an estimated $25B. This savings plays a major role in improving standards of living in India. Therefore, for Indian government, it would be dereliction of duty to stop buying Russian oil. And, it is immoral for USA to make such an unethical request.

Do you think US is using this sanction as a means to hurt Indian economy? After all, reasonably priced Russian oil has played a major role in rejuvenating Indian industries.

Placing too much emphasis on technology and AI in warfare may not always be effective. India was downing Pakistani drones using modified machine guns—showing that while technology is valuable, traditional methods of combat still hold their ground. Drones have emerged, but manned fighter jets remain the primary choice even today.

Pakistan continues to use 18th-century-style Islamic militants to harm India as part of its foreign policy. They have openly stated that, since they cannot challenge India in a conventional military conflict due to India’s overwhelming superiority, they will wage jihad against India.

They are not the same stock. Soviet military planners were much more intelligent than the current military leadership of Russia. Furthermore they had the luxury of numbers, which the current form of Russian military lack. Soviet and Russian scales are not comparable anymore. Only the nuclear backbone of the armed forces had been transplanted. Many other vital organs were forgotten in the great hurry.
Also, do not forget the Ukrainians and Russians are both slavs. Slavs know each other far better than we understand them, so a war between these brotherly people is bound to be messy, confusing and very absurd from the beginning.

Yes, Ukraine is led by a clown. But increasingly it seems Putin is indulging the clown far more than he should have. What stops Putin from decapitation of Ukrainian leadership, I know not! It perhaps may be as simple as - Russian military cannot get the job done.

The simplest way to prevent a nuclear war is to eliminate nuclear weapons. India did this with Pakistan during Operation Sindoor.
These operations are not comparable. We used supersonic missiles the planning of which took 15 days and wiped out PAF runway capability in one day.
Ukranians planned a clandestine attack which took 1.5 years and used drones. If Russia wants, they can still destroy Ukraine from air. Even if Pakistan wanted, they couldn't get a jet trainer off the ground. There's a huge difference.

Medvedev proved to be a far more capable war president than Putin.. He basically crushed Georgia even before it could become a pivot.
I bet he would have crushed Ukraine the day after Euro maidan, and Putin could have been sipping Chaye with Yanukovich in Ukranian Sevastopol today.

Yes, the Ukrainian attack on Russia was not a conventional military operation but more of a clandestine strike—similar to how Pakistan has historically used terrorists against India. However, it was effective in delivering a psychological blow, particularly because it targeted military installations rather than civilians.

In response, Russia is likely to retaliate with overwhelming force, employing traditional military tactics, including ground forces and the air force. It’s also clear that Ukraine surrendered its nuclear weapons for a reason—they lunderstood that Russia would never allow them to deploy, let alone use, nuclear arms.

Pakistani military has also kept its awaam under the illusion that nuclear weapons are some kind of silver bullet—invulnerable to Indian strikes and capable of deterring any full-scale war.

They thought Pakistan can continue supporting cross-border terrorism in India without fear of direct military retaliation or escalation into war.

I think they'd try something different this time. Hire some ex Mossad or ex RAW professionals and try something different.

For God's sake, this is the State which gifted the world the Chimera called KGB, how could it have gone so wrong? Deserves a book by itself.

Maybe KGB/SVR could use some unknown gunmen or exploding pagers and target the key people of the Nazi regime they purport to fight.
