The Turkish army tested a long-range missile for the Hisar-O air defense system. The Turkish Hisar-O medium-range air defense system is expected to become the basis of Turkey's Steel Dome air defense system. The missile reportedly successfully hit a target at a distance of more than 40 kilometers. The Hisar-O air defense system was first unveiled by the Turkish company Aselsan in 2015. Russian and Turkish servicemen conducted a joint patrol in northeastern Syria. The patrol was conducted within the framework of the provisions of the Russian-Turkish memorandum of understanding. The ANKA-III UAV dropped the bomb and successfully hit the target from an altitude of 6,100 meters at a flight speed of 333 km/h. The TOLUN bomb is manufactured by Aselsan and has a flight range of about 100 km, the bomb weighs about 127 kg, the bomb is guided to the target using GPS signals and inertial navigation data. Turkish company Roketsan has demonstrated the ALKA laser system designed to destroy drones. The ALKA air defense system uses lasers and electromagnetic waves to destroy drones.
