And of course historically, when you go back to the colonisation of the Americas( north and south) Australia, parts of Africa- Rhodesia and South Africa were meant to be permanent settler states- south East Asia and elsewhere, there is no comparison whatsoever between Indians on the one hand and Spaniards, Anglos, Germans, Dutch, French and Portuguese et al, on the other. The large Indian diaspora is a product of 1965 and after.
But the point to be made is that in these times of India booming and growing, it does look a bit odd or incongruous to see hundreds of thousands of Indians migrating out of the country every year.
