The libbu media was already planting stories that Trump was gonna pardon him before his 1st term ends and did a lot of RR.
He wasn’t pardoned and 4 yrs from then, from being ‘America’s Mayor’ he became a national ‘embarrassment’ and lost everything.
While he never received a pardon, we all know how many were later pardoned by Biden and everything was perfectly okay with that.

Maybe it's just because I've been tracking the emerging anti-Indian and anti-HIndu animus for so long (both in the present day and historically via @HindooHistory), but I just can't bring myself to care about what DOGE kid said, in the same way that I'm not bothered with Ann Coulter's anti-Indian tirades. The sources of anti-Indian and anti-Hindu prejudice are structural, and we see manifestations of it both on the left and right. Whereas the RW variant is fixated on race and economics (H1B), LW attacks focus on ideology (hindutva) and culture (casteism).


IMO the left-wing variant has at least in recent years been far more harmful b/c they have the cultural and institutional power to convert narrative into policy. I don't know about you, but LW activists trying to insert caste into American legal machinery based on ginned up surveys scares me more than anon zoomers being racist online. Anti-Indian racism is a problem that will at least in the short term only get worse, and it's important we fight it, but in doing so we should not miss the forest for the trees.
