see, Kama is one of four 'purushartha' in hinduism, so i don't think of carnal, base desires to be a taboo, but our society's gone conservative about it that they even refuse to look out at these things in janma kundli
mangala dosha or being mangalik, is one of most overrated AS WELL AS underlooked aspect in a person's life, it's more or less checked during matching kundlis / marriage proposals because well parashari hora shashtra etc clearly mentioned marriage between mangalik and non-mangalik person results in "death" for non-mangalik one

- but i seriously wonder did parashar muni only meant 'bhautik mrityu' physical death here? what about death of the relationship itself happening from reasons involving carnal/base desires ?
e.g. a non mangalik bride married a mangalik groom, that guy literally goes ;kutta; on her in bed, something she's not comfortable with, and eventually ruins physical aspects of lovemaking for her that she starts going total 'just let him have his ways with her for a while' way

?
e.g. 2. a mangalik bride married a non-mangalik groom, has some other combinations too like rahu (north node of moon) in her 7th bhava (house of partners, including spouse here) PLUS here ketu (south node of moon) would be in 1st bhava (house of 'self') and due to that her libido and physical needs are excessive, also with that ketu placement it's possible she's a emo person...all of this combined results in cheating by her when her husband got into say, long term business trip...
there are lots and lots of such indicators in kundli for various Kama-side of things in life, but due to muh taboo things barely anyone looks over it, or even "professional"# (heh, coming to it later) pundits themselves don't bother much with it
now, most jyotish would short-circuit things by saying mangal dosha is rectified/nullified due to other combinations during guna milan, but i personally believe if mangal (mars) dev is some functionally benefic in your chart THEN going neecha (debilitation) position as well as associated with functionally malefics for your kundli, like say Shani (saturn) by yuti (conjunction) or drishti (aspects) etc things, even with basic cancellation would not completely remove ill effects of mangal dosha as your mangal needs that energy to be uncoiled
deeper interpretation, analysis etc is required and recommended than just some basic cancellations in such cases
BUT biggest hurdle for any precise analysis of kundli, is inaccurate birth date, time, place data

most people would not have accurate birth time and place info, as these things are noted by hospitals nowadays and you can't always trust those nurses handling babies to put accurate time there, THEN having accurate co-ordinates for that place is super duper easy in age of google maps, and yet people just approximate that info by taking city name as value, which may not be accurate
a jyotish worth his salt should refuse to interpret any kundli with inaccurate birth time and place/coordinates data, but that would mean loss of 'business' in most parts (heh) so everything goes
when accurate data isn't available, a viable way is to read a person's body itself - samudrik shashtra
reading a person's palms, checking for signs on a person's face, limbs, overall structure can give out lots of things regarding one's birth time and location info to do some 'rectification' and get accurate interpretation of birth chart, but heh, our 'professional' jyotish themselves are not bothering much about inaccurate data here, expecting them to now use samudrik shashtra to interpret a person's physical features itself is even bigger chore at it, neither they would be that knowledgable about it
[ story - our esteemed late pradhaan mantri, Shri Laal Bahadur Shashtri Ji himself met with one such jyotish who could read and interpret his physics, when he was just a young congress karyakarta, this south indian sajjan was starring at him, sitting opposite site to him in this train compartment, he felt obliged to ask this sajjan's intentions and sajjan responded that he was reading Laal Bahadur's face, he clearly saw signs of him becoming a big leader, Laal Bahadur ji jokingly replied that he's a volunteer in congress so it'd be nice to become a distric level leader some day, but serious sajjan responded that he sees him going much farther than that, that he may even become 'raja' of this country some day. Before parting ways, this sajjan warned him, that his death will occur outside the country, and during that time, no family member would be in reach, means he'll die alone outside india...
and we all knows how things went

i personally recommend that typical guna-milan for a groom and bride is really inefficient method for kundli matching for marriage proposals, one should also dig deeply and match arudha lagna, upapada lagna things to effectively check for married life things, then there's matter of navamsa (ninth divisional chart or D9) interpretation
as for various dosha goes, it's usually recommended that mantra jaap, wearing gemstones can help with reducing undesired effects; BUT
- not all lagna (ascendants, means from which rashi/zodiac a kundli starts) can wear all gemstones even if a person needs it, because for each of 12 lagna/ascendants, some grahs would be functionally benefic and some would be functionally malefic, some would even be sahayak benefic/malefic depending on sign placement...so if you end up wearing some stone that powers up your functionally malefic planet...it'd only harm you
- likewise above, be careful about mantra jaaps too, it's recommended to not do mantra jaaps for certain functionally malefics during certain transits in kundli
usually doing shanti pujas for various ill combinations help
- IF you have three or more grahas together, it just makes it super difficult to focus your devotion and puja things in appeasing one graha devta for one purpose, it also means karmic debts are so deep that many devtas have to be involved for particular long-lasting parts in life...under such circumstances, doing navagraha mantra jaap (appeasing all nine graha devtas together) is recommended as a jaatak has to juggle lots of karmic things together here - same also goes for shanti pujas
#professional jyotish hurr durr
heh, Manu Smriti literally mentioned that anyone doing jyotish kaarya as some sort of 'dhandha', mainly to earn monies, is a CHANDAAL and hence shunned
and frankly speaking i've personally seen many such dhandhe waale jyotish families around me suffering a lot, in many cases things just happen out of all sudden - there's a pundit family we know, three sons, all doing jyotish, eldest son suddenly got diagnosed with mouth cancer (it's another thing that he'd been eating beetlenut tobacco masala thing since years but still), middle son is trying to conceive for years but no avail, youngest son got married but wife died due to covid at very young age during those times here...so overall their 'vansh' is just not progressing
but Smriti and Shastric views aside, can a honest practitioner of jyotish can even live sufficiently without charging some monies in this ghor kaliyuga?! it's a dilemma of its own
lastly, the jyotish i follow on internet, shri vinay jha ji of mithila, bihar, has often called jyotish as 'eyes' to interpret vedas - i have not thoroughly read or taken formal education in vedas, but i believe in him regarding it - i just also think that beyond that, jyotish is also 'eyes' to understand one's true self at times
