This is a long drawn out game. As of now only the first shots have been fired. From now on every time there's a terrorist outrage we approve a project.

Most of the ground work would've been done long ago. It's only the tendering & awarding of the project which needs be done. And the best part is short of a war they can't do anything .

All those mini adventures they'd undertake by targeting the dam & workers building it will result in another project being approved. As a bonus they'd also get a Balakot or something bigger absolutely free.

Chenab we can divert logistically.
Its only Jhelum and Indus we cannot divert effectively without tens of billions of $$ investment and even then thats only for Jhelum, we cant divert Indus unless we wish to make Aral sea in ladakh

My honest 2 cents on the whole situation.

Taking into consideration
1. Pakistan's internal turmoil, economic instability, and political unrest (read Imran Khan) have created a state of mass resentment among the Pakistani population, especially the younger generations, towards the Pakistani military. Asim Munir understands that the control over the masses is slipping and is at a tipping point in places like Balochistan.
2. Asim Munir's speech last week, the mention of the two-nation theory, the call to arms to the youth against "Hindu" India, when related to the specifics of the attack, makes it obvious that the speech and the attack were coordinated and not cause and effect.
3. The attack itself, the lack of indiscriminate or emotional firing, methodical target acquisition, confirmation, and execution, and the surgical infiltration and exfiltration of the terrorists, reeks of ex-SSG involvement. This was more of an attack planned and executed on the Pakistani deep state's initiative rather than the TRF's initiative.
4. The immediate scrambling of air assets by PAF and the deployment of airborne early warning assets after the attack, even before there was any official condemnation of Pakistan's involvement in the attack from the Indian government, hints that the Pakistani military is preparing for something impending. This wasn't quite the case right after Uri or Pathankot.

It seems like Asim Munir is trying to repeat history i.e. fight a war with India, he knows he'll lose, to divert the average Pakistani's attention from the crises in Pakistan and also hope for large sums of foreign aid to fund his war efforts and pump some money back into his almost bankrupt economy. Bonus, destabilize Kashmir again and re-launch the local terror outfits in Kashmir.

Now, having said this, it seems to be a bit of a trap for India. I don't think it matters so much to Asim Munir if India acts upon blocking the water of the Indus. It's mostly about the optics. And India, I'd say, has chosen to call Pakistan's hand with the very official press briefing. So as of now, everything is going as per what I perceive to be Asim Munir's game plan. I'm pretty sure the Indian government, however ignorant about defence innovation and modernization it may be, is conscious enough to be preparing for a full-scale military engagement with Pakistan, but we need to be careful. This seems to be a well-planned campaign if it is what I fear it is.

Again, this is a personal analysis of the situation. Anyone is free to agree or disagree.

This is true. But this is also why we are India and not Russia. And Russia is Russia, not India.
We put people's rozi-roti, baccha-making, life enjoying in day to day first.
Russians put 'we shall speak russian and believe in what russians decide is religion first and we will die to last man till we get this before we make baccha and enjoy life'.

India's problem today is basically the same problem napoleon faced in Egypt and fucked off from there : Napoleonic Europe was used to fighting highly ruthless but civilized field battles. They won ON THE FIELD, found the nearest ranking dude and got him to GIVE THAT CITY OVER so you you could go there and eat for free tomorrow and collect taxes from it next year. England to Russia, France to Romania, this is Euro continental warfare of 1700s-1800s amongst chistoids.

We are effectively the same. Forever. forget 1700s, even in 100 BC India there is no city-razing going on between indo-greeks ( who were buddhists at this point) and Magadh dynasties such as Shunga or Kanva.

When Napoleon went to egypt, he quickly realized that winning battle on field means shit. You gotta go and sack the nearest biggest city for the other 10 small cities to go 'holy crap, ok we submit'. Coz egypt in 1800 is islamic shithole of war brutality.
Napoleon very quickly realized, that while his soldiers would walk over fire for him to fight 100:1 odds on the battlefield, they are NOT used to massacring women and children and getting his gunners to blow up women and children at close range would very quickly make him a despicable leader that his men hate but follow only out of operational respect and military loyalty.

So he very quickly effed outta Egypt despite not having lost anything anywhere in Egypt.

We kind of face the same problem. We can seethe and cope as much as we like, but we all know one relity - paki troops have no problem sticking their bayonets up our grannies ass to kill them, but 90% of our bravest jawaans will suffer serious brain damage or self hatred and lose morale if we ask them to do the same in Lahore.

Don't care at all about that part.

I was more interested in the part where he was mocking how "India's patience almost runs out" after every terrorist attack but never actually does and India doesn't go to war as they are chickens.

He's nailed it there.

Let's be real however. We are no Israel and Pak is no Gaanja. The political leadership does not have the cojones and determination that Bibi N has. The Indian public does not have the gall to accept body bags and we have enough imbeciles to stir up trouble internally. I fully expect things to go back to business as usual after some eyewash moves with "trust me bro" sources to justify our prowess. I'd love to be surprised but have seen this far too often to expect anything different.

He is correct. Indians are chickens. Again, in a democracy, people usually get the gormint they deserve. our gormint isnt going to go take pangaa with anyone, let alone a nyookoolar power, unless it is reasonably cetain, that at the very least, win or lose, its OWN DAMN PEOPLE will back it.

So far, Indians dont give much indication of wanting war. ever. Where the fook is our humongous 'FUCK UUUUUUUUUU MODI BOMB LAHORE, MODI DO DESERT STORM' type of rallies USA had after 9/11 ??

We want war, but we wont go shout it on the streets at the very least like the damn roos or israeli do. This is why their gormint goes 'theek haye, we think we can win and awaam saath haye- chaalo lare- its gonna suck for nexy 6 years, but gotta do this'.

They too will act like Indian gormint if their awam was like 'IPL dekho, Kashmir ? bahut bura huya...who si that 14 year old kid who scored 6s in IPL ?'.
Maybe not Rus, cor Rus aint demoracy, but Israel would act lke us, if ISRAELIS were as pussies like us.

I think we are done here godi media and sm accounts are busy pushing abeyance of water treaty as another master stroke by modi. don't think any military action will happen now. Since Ipl is underway anyway this event will have very short self in minds of our cuckload Hindu Com.

The only reason we are not shutting down Paki embassy is because we don't want to shut down ours in Paki land.
eventually that needs to come off as well.

we do any attack, there has to be a very visible damage to Pakis, an undeniable damage.
Anything else is not acceptable.
