Pahalgam Islamic Terror Attack

I do think it's high time to make Jammu a separate state and Kashmir a Union Territory. This should have been done right after Article 370 was abrogated.
By the way, does anyone know how much water will still flow under the current infrastructure if the Indus Waters Treaty is suspended?
AFAIK 75% will still reach pakiland

End of Indus Water Treaty: Border Closed: Army, Air & Naval Attach sent Back: All Pak to Leave India

Indus treaty is not ended. It's paused which means nothing.....
Diplomatic strength reduced to 30 .... again GOI seeks to keep communication channels open. .. so a nothing burger
Wagah trade closed but but not ceremony.. so charade continues...
Pakistanis on visa to go back... when did offending pakis ever needed visas? all in all its hindus from pak that shall be harassed....

Sorry it's tayen tayen.. right now .. hope it's do not turns out to be phishhh (diplomatic retribution POV)

rough estimates on flows

Summary of Flows into Pakistan (Approximate Annual Averages)

RiverAverage Annual Flow into PakistanNotes
Indus90–100 MAF (111–123 BCM)Primary water source for Pakistan; minimal Indian interference.
Jhelum23–25 MAF (28–31 BCM)Significant for Pakistan’s irrigation and hydropower (e.g., Mangla Dam).
Chenab25–30 MAF (31–37 BCM)Critical for Punjab’s agriculture; limited Indian use.
Ravi0–2 MAF (0–2.5 BCM)Negligible post-1970 due to India’s unrestricted use; flood flows only.
Beas0–1 MAF (0–1.2 BCM)Minimal; flows via Sutlej; mostly diverted by India.
Sutlej0–2 MAF (0–2.5 BCM)Minimal; mostly diverted by India; flood flows during monsoon.

Total Western Rivers (Indus, Jhelum, Chenab): ~140–155 MAF (172–191 BCM) annually. Total Eastern Rivers (Ravi, Beas, Sutlej): ~0–5 MAF (0–6 BCM) annually, mostly flood-dependent.
Some stats on the impact of suspending IWT.

This will surely fk them for good if we really follow up on building dams at a rapid pace.
Eventually inviting a military response which will be our version of ‘bait’?

While it might take several years, with summer looming it would clearly rattle them and give a reality check of what is in store.

Also what is the impact/chance of the Chinese doing the same on the Brahmaputra side? Wouldn’t it fk the kanglus more badly?

Not tourism. Begin by creating armed enclaves and settling exiled kashmiri hindus along with other hindus after giving them arms training and arm them to the teeth. Also settle ex army people (hindus only). Keep expanding the areas ... repeat and rinse. Oh and cull trashmiri population by razing complete family and villages to the ground if found to have sheltered a terrorist. Not easy , but the only solution
That can be done too

you start now, you carry it on for a year. it would ve difficult to justify kinetics after a few months.
We can start now but it should be low-intensity ops and maybe cross-border retaliation. The likelihood for IN to be involved is slim to none since GoI doesn't have the balls to take up a full scale war.

Another airstrike will only result in Balakot like outcome while PA can match IA on the kashmir front man-to-man. Post Pulwama, pakis know we'd retaliate in some form and they employed a more effective strategy to counter us and I'm sure they're even more prepared this time

Imo, scrap IWT for good to begin with instead of a temporary pause
What about taking control of Azad kashmir region. This is primary source of launchpads.

Biggest city is mirpur, bomb then for days and displace the people towards Pakistan. Similarly across all villages in that region.
Don't you think they'd do the same to us! Then what?

Kept in abeyance till inbreds get their act together - basically on hold till the end of this universe. Yes, it is more optics than substance (for now) - the real consequences will be felt 10 years from now.
Real consequences shall only be felt if some real concrete steps taken to dam waters that flow to Pakistan in peak summers esp Ravi, Indus and Chenab, and show our magnimanity by releasing water from dams in peak monsoons every year till ....

AFAIK building dams takes lot of time

they are seriously rattled now :D

they were crying over this project , under the treaty we were supposed to maintain minimum flow level .

no diversion but wonder if we could increase catchment area and reduce the flow or something

To follow up with this temporary pause on IWT govt should announce to build dams on eastern rivers to show the seriousness. Just lip service doesn’t suffix. Let the game begins

that would mean breaking the treaty permanently which doesnt seem to be case now.

Breaking the treaty is when you stop the flow of water not building the dam. Build dams and keep in handy to stop/ divert water as per our will. That will make pork’s survival on our mercy

bhai treaty todo na todo , paani roko na roko , par pakistan me indus ghusne se phle usko yamuna zarur bana do. itna sa bhi bahut hai. pure desh ka kachra dump krdo jaake.

T - Brother, whether you break the treaty or not, whether you stop the water or not, just make sure to turn the Indus into the Yamuna before it enters Pakistan. Even that much is more than enough. Dump the entire country's waste into it before it goes.

BBC always surprises me with how shameless they can get
BBC is the propaganda outlet of the British Monarchy. It's only the Monarchs who control BBC.

Neither the Labour party that's in power nor the Conservatives have a say in how BBC works.

If Indians believe Brits left India in 1947, they are very mistaken.

Suspending IWT is a great move, giving us the room to maneuver around in case of any negotiations. Now, what could happen?

1. Assim Munir tries to prove he son of one man and provokes us into a war. If it is again some terror attacks, then that won't cut it, armed forces won't cross the border in numbers and force. If he decides to go ahead with a conventional operation, which involves all 3 arms of the Pakistan Armed Forces, then that will be a great opportunity for us. The Army and the Air Force will be able to wreck them in less than 2 weeks.

2. Ass-im Munir proves he is a Chakka with 20 fathers and he is pimping his wife, mother, sister and daughter in heera mandi.

3. We decide to carry out 2-4 airstrikes, or carry out multiple SF raids along with Missile Strikes, or we push the LoC a little to the west by grabbing some peaks and passes.

BJP said the same about IWT after Pulwama attack.

Didn't do shit in 6 years btw.
