Next year Pakistan will be flying J-35s..
So, India might get F-35.. even if it will be a Hangar Queen..with lots of restrictions..

Just to get a feel of fifth generation fighters.. because we will see AMCA in good numbers only by 2040

Why is the PM not reviewing his performance? Even the basic due diligence is not being done in invitations. Wonder what else must be happening elsewhere
 
Some reports are claiming that the trade deal may be announced next week. I hope we delay it to the last week.
Trump has become very toxic, he's finding easy "wins" against countries that are cordial to US and trying to sell those wins to its population.

Also hoping we don't give too much concessions that may impact us long term, Trump is only going to remain for 4 years.

Trade is all about give and take . WTO in itself more or less a creation of the US, made it look like Trade is a country's right.. It is not.. Trade with any country is a privilege . And Trump is rightly leveraging the privilege of access to the world's biggest market..
Access to India's biggest and growing market is also a privilege..
There will be give and take.. As long as the price is right, India would love a trade deal with the US.
Yes, Trump blabbering about how great a deal maker he is.. and how the deal is "totally in US favour" will rub us in the wrong places . But, Modi will take it in his stride . Because, ultimately we will want to increase our exports to our biggest export market even further.

Do you get the feeling that mighty presidency of Donald Trump has lost much of its shine within first 100 days. All the friends he thought had at home and abroad are becoming adversaries. Elon Musk is an example. Others who had good feelings towards him abroad including Modi are no longer talking to him. All trade deals he thought he will get, are in limbo.

In fact, soon not much of his presidency will be left except bitter taste in mouth.
