Re upcoming rocket force, is there any timeline announced yet?

Will it be composed of LR-LACM, Pralay, BM04 & Agni-P? Any other DRDO products?

Will the existing IA/IAF SSM units will also be placed under it?

Rocket force will start from Pinaka, 300mm LRGR, Pralay, BM-04, LR-LACM, , HCM.

User Interest in the neighboring pig-sty leads to 150 of the below cheapo and mostly-Chinese maal flying in their Airforce and lobbing PL-15s, it could be cancelled and in-place 40 F-16 wunderwaffe could be purchased but they decided against it because their priorities were right

User disinterest makes moon and mars trials, shifting goal posts GSQRs, taking forever to sign a contract and then it turns out the engine vendor has shut down his plant and so the engines are delayed among other things.

Except Submarine Circus (Which can be mitigated if we simply swallow blue pill and go with additional Scorpenes since the requirement is 24 and we can pump the Scorpenes to 12-15). Navy is having warships in Pipeline upto 2030. By 2030 P18 destroyer may start metal cutting working.

IAF being blue balled by MOD, HAL etc. Rafales cannot be integrated with Indian weapons, F35 can't even integrate with IACCS (Proper security risk).

You could cope and divert by saying PLA/CCP is the same organization so there is the whole of state push.

It is why i gave examples of PAF and Indian Navy.

Truth is Marut, Tejas, MWF, AMCA are all Sarkari and DPSU projects and finds no buy-in from user.

User only wants some kind of imported wunderwaffe and is adamant on it just as Admirals were in getting their Aircraft Carrier and their various ships.

Until user realises than imported toys( including missiles and bombs ) will not be enough and they need to have a domestic military industrial complex producing such things, nothing will change.

It's Rafale for now, in another 15 years it will be F-35 and so on.

I personally don't think Tejas, MWF and AMCA will get inducted beyond double digit numbers if they do get inducted in the first place, aside from the user not wanting these, you also have the case of the ((( engine merchant country ))) who thinks that the engine is leverage, but they lose this leverage by disrupting supplies.

You would think that after the very good performance of some Indian developed systems in an actual war, they would re-think their attitudes.

Oh that? they are obsessed over German submarine only to get it's proven( as in it werks and is in service ) Fuel Cell AIP module.
They were unironically the only proven vendor for FC-AIP for the last 15 years I guess.

Only now you have the Frenchies, Spaniards, our DRDO and Koreans( stolen from German design ) developing similar but better( onboard hydrogen generator for safety ) systems.

It's not a matter of submarines per se but they want that specific Fuel Cell wala AIP which is very silent when run underwater, other AIPs like Stirling engine or MESMA( used by Pakees ) make noise when turn on which is ofc detectable by hydrophones.

Waise they have submarine building capability, it is how you have Arihant class, it's just most diesel electric ones today have an AIP of some sort

IAF has put all its balls in Tejas Mk1A. Where are the deliveries anon ? When our 4th-gen jets gets shot everyone will blame IAF (remember the tactical error comment by CDS?), no one will blame DPSUs for not delivering.

Just tell me why any sane person will ever order from HAL/ADA and why MoD shouldn't dissolve these leech DPSUs ?

Answer me this question : When was the first ship and first airplane invented ? Why is there such a big timegap between two inventions ? You will get answer to why IAF's procurement and IN's procurements are apple and oranges comparison.

Simply because we are not buying large chunks of US arms. On the same line, we use GBU-12 Paveway's in Kargil, we used Excalibur ammunitions + M777 both in Balakot as well as Op Sindoor. Our Navy is armed with Harpoon + Mk48 torpedoes which will see action if Navy went for kinetic.

As a matter of fact I have complete faith on the manufacturer that they won't be able to churn out a single Tejas Mk2 or AMCA by 2030, thus forcing the user to opt for F-35 or perish.

PLA/CCP for a good half a decade just used reverse-engineered Soviet & Israeli platforms. None were particularly good apart from their sheer numbers.

By 2010, CCP hackers stole massive amount of data from US Mil Industry, thus propelling their stealth jet, engine, missile and other technology along with their reverse-engineered military.

Indian leech DPSUs are so incompetent they cannot even reverse-engineer a single jet, engine or frankly anything. They only took 30 years to reverse engineer a basic Howitzer (FH777 Bofors), that too with complete ToT, and now strugging to manufacture them in numbers ! Such sheer brilliance !

To induct such jets in double-digit numbers, you first need to manufacture them in double digits. Problem is DPSUs demand armed forces babysits them and feed them everything from technology, engineering, production and negotiations so that they can stand in front of the assembled jets and claim credit and fat pensions.

Sounds good but I don't think Pinaka (unguided, 75km guided and even the 120km one) should be part of the rocket force, they should stay with IA Artillery. IA needs organic long range vectors (like Smerch and these Pinaka variants) for their tactical operations at IBG/Division level.

The Kaveri as it exists today is dead . IMO just as the KED is a DERIVATIVE of the original Kaveri TF & NOT the original Kaveri , similarly we'd see a new project launched to realise a TF meeting the original tech specifications of the Tejas which is 55 - 60 KN dry thrust & 85 - 90 KN wet thrust or something as close to the F-404 as possible.

People here ought to sharpen their analytical powers a bit & not react like lay people if they've been regulars on a forum , any forum for a length of time.

Have we spent ~ 2500 cr on the Kaveri just like that only to dump whatever we've achieved & learnt in the process ? If the answer is yes then I've nothing to say .

However if the answer is no , try to probe deeper & read between the lines or headlines in this case & learn to distinguish sensationalism from facts .
