LCA TEJAS MK-I & MK-IA: News and Discussion (4 Viewers)

Americans taking delivery of F35s before the jets were combat capable has more to do with training pilots with the new aircraft
Pretty sure iaf pilots will also need to practice flying tejasmk1a.
It's has more optimised flight software.
Aesa radar, modified cockpit layout, new tactics will be needed with new capabilities.
And you don't need missiles firing actually to practice bvr combat, most bvr combat practice are about getting lock on target.

Just like tejas mk1 firing astra doesn't mean it's certified on mk1a.
Pilots certified for tejas mk1 doesn't mean they are certified on mk1a for full spectrum operations.

Americans taking delivery of F35s before the jets were combat capable has more to do with training pilots with the new aircraft. Our IAF morons need to learn to tone down their expectations. These are the same morons who keep saying "We will fight with what we have" when asked about declining squadron strength. And when aircrafts are made to be delivered they have second thoughts suddenly about the technology? Do these freaking idiots want more Pilots to lose lives flying MiG-21s and Jaguars? Even the IOC certified Tejas is more safer than MiG-21 and Jaguar.
Same high standard folks accepted Rafale without an AAM. And waited for meteor to get integrated for years. Their high standards only arises when Indian products are in question.

The first Su30s that were delivered didn't have Bars radar or the canards afaik

And Tejas not firing one missile makes it "not mk1a"

🤡

Anyway, Tejas will endup like Marut, hope the stuff built for Tejas like Uttam radar, EW etc can be exported to interested foreign countries.

The Jews lost IAI Lavi to the dalali of their politicians and airforce guys for the F-16, but the made good money by developing all the techs they made for it like radar, missiles and EW and exporting.

Zero chance of the Americans sharing any tech ... at most it will be screwdriver assembly
f404 is 1970-80s tech, which we also have but due to 0 will from the govt we aint using it, burgerica can share but again it will demand jaziya for local prodcution of f404. the engine doesnt have some next level tech which we dont have, so they might give us the production line
