Indian Special Forces (39 Viewers)

Look this handsome man over here has a better plate carrier setup than the entire Para SF.

Its not that the entire Indian Army is screwed up its just that either SF doesnt get funds or they lack interest.

The way Infanty and RR units are upgrading i am pretty sure in 5 years you wont be able to tell who is who.

Forget 5 years literally the only thing that distinguishes them is a Tavor

When news called us “barbaric,” we laughed. It’s easy to judge from a heated room. Out there, on a ridge, pipes sometimes saved lives that bullets would have destroyed. Instead of escalations, the pipes restrained. It could be more terrifying than firearms—less distance, more sweat, a testing of guts and character in full view of your squad-mates.

We pass down not just discipline, but rules of survival, of sanity: Don’t escalate. Don’t freeze. If you can, try to see the human being under the helmet—sometimes that saves your life, too. We learned restraint the hardest way—face-to-face, stone for stone, pipe for pipe. The lesson: peace is sometimes held by calloused hands willing not to press the trigger. The martyrs’ bridges on Highway 219 are our keepers. Each name isn’t just a loss; it’s a reminder of ‘how far not to go,’ of pride and caution, cost and value.

MUST READ!!
Did you read about philosophy in this memoir - somewhat along the lines: Line are always redrawn - keep pushing. Seems to be ingrained at soldier level. Very different from ours....

Ya ya that i havent read…Thanks.

Somehow i feel the person who has written this is mature and has a habit of reflecting on life.
Still memoir has showing as if our soldiers were too eager for their redbull when themselves they were of short supply on lieu of just hand wave.... seems too stretched.

Also they made their movements when US and India satellites were not overhead, covered their vehicles with camouflage, only moved when they got clear signal @COLDHEARTED AVIATOR do we have similar tactics? given Chinese sats were relaying live updates on our movement and air action

Their camouflage is excellent as seen in pictures attached with memoirs, merges well with background

They are well trained and they seem to have been called later not on the initial contact as suggested by Indian open sources.

it's no secret salami slicing is their doctrine. Whether it’s the slow militarization of artificial islands in the South China Sea, quiet incursions along contested borders, or influence campaigns through infrastructure loans and digital dependencies, the pattern is consistent: take a slice, normalize it, and prepare for the next. It's a strategy designed to avoid open confrontation while still achieving long-term strategic objectives.
