Bengaluru is notorious for stray dog attacks long time back. At that time Local authorities went for culling and it reduces the population. And then they decided to do birth control to dogs.

Even in my state 15 years back my town implemented birth control in dogs. Recent times in Chennai dog attacks increased a lot. Whether it is due to rabies or not can't able to say, but lot of animals where in stress this year due to insane heat wave. Till September the heat is too much, even cows started to attack random people.
