Russian Ukrainian War

Footage of attacks by Russian FPV drones "Prince Vandal Novgorodsky", controlled via fiber optic cable, on a Ukrainian Leopard 2A6 tank stuck in a trench. In reality, the Ukrainian tank hit in the video is a Leopard 2A4 tank. The Leopard 2A6 tank began to be produced in Germany in 1997, based on the Leopard 2A5 tank. The Ukrainian version of the tank is reinforced with dynamic protection. The video was filmed near the village of Pobeda, in the Kurakhovsky direction. The Vandal drones attacked not only the tank, but also the crew, who abandoned the tank. One crew member tried to take cover under the tank, the second ran to the dugout, the episode was partially cut from the video.

If this guy has half a brain he knows the Putin will never go for this deal. And I think his whole brain is alive. He knows he has to say what he said. He's covered Trump's ass and his own. Now his next move will be to give up on Ukraine, and he will have support when they show strong evidence that Ukraine sold weapons to the Mexican cartel. And if they can't find strong evidence they will fabricate it to frame Ukraine. When you take your best shot at Russia and miss, it's time to give up, because taking a second shot is way too dangerous. That's my prediction, and like always, I could be wrong.

My prediction is that maps in Europe are going to be redrawn in the near future.
Possibly. On the territory of the former Russia, many new republics will emerge.

NATO Without the U.S. Resources

As a founding member of NATO, the United States has carried a significant burden, covering over 60% of the alliance’s expenses for 75 years. This contribution has come at a great cost last year alone, U.S. spending totalled $860 billion. Now, the U.S. is pushing European nations to take on a greater share of the financial responsibility.

President Trump voiced similar concerns during his first term but did not implement significant changes. Meanwhile, under President Biden, Congress allocated an additional $180 billion for Ukraine’s defence, further adding to America’s debt burden. Coupled with a $900 billion trade deficit, these expenditures continue to escalate the country’s financial strain.

It is no surprise that time and again, the executive branch requests the legislative branch to raise the debt ceiling. Today, U.S. national debt stands at $36 trillion double the $18 trillion figure from 2015. Tax revenue shortfalls are covered by borrowing, which only worsens the debt crisis.

Democrats can protest all they want, but something must be done to rein in spending and control the skyrocketing debt. Trump is right to demand that European nations take responsibility for their own defence. The same logic applies to tackling wasteful government spending and the bloated bureaucracy. Addressing these issues early in his term is a step in the right direction.

A NATO with reduced U.S. involvement is entirely feasible provided that major economies like Germany, France, and the U.K. step up their contributions and share the defence burden. This would be a positive shift for both NATO and the U.S.

Kudos to Trump for taking on these challenges.

Such a true tragedy for Ukraine people: means Trump does NOT give a shxt to their voices, NOT an even single one...
And such a true embarrassment for Europe (they are already howling over every media): Trump does NOT give another shxt to their voices, either. NOT a single leader been counseled, perhaps not even British ones...

- The harshest comment here I heard in Canada (well, even ourselves will be tariffed soon) is "Lapdogs are lapdogs, and slaves are slaves."
Sad, so sad...

I knew this was gonna happen. Zelensky should have never listen to Biden and Boris Johnson. Now Ukraine as a whole has paid dearly of a price for that arrogance and naivete.

Now Ukraine is much worse off losing more territory and several generation of working productive men. Its economy would take at least 50 years to recover from this kind of disaster. Truth is going to come out on how much casualties Ukraine has truly sustained and how much industry Ukraine has lost.

Hahahahahahahahaha..... Moron I said Europe.
Right. Up to the Ural Mountains, Russia's territory is Europe.
I agree with you 100%. However we differ on what we think manage means. You think it means you can hold your own against Russia. I think Zelensky and the other Nazi's will "manage to destroy Ukraine just like they destroyed Germany in WW2.
There are political games going on now, but Zelensky let it slip that last year the war cost us $100 billion. Of these, $40 billion was financed by Ukraine, $35 billion was aid from the US, and $25 billion was from Europe. I think that we will be able to redistribute the funds that the US used to give. Under Trump, the US will be like Turkey, which sells us any weapon (from a machine gun to a multiple rocket launcher). We just need to "outlive" the mercantile Trump.
Europe has 1.5 times more military factories than Russia, but they are currently producing less. So there is a margin of safety.

No. European leaders are on record saying Russia is not Europe.
Mentally, but not geographically. He was talking about geography. I agree with him. The European part of Russia can create several states.

lol Moscow and St. Petersburg are west of the Ural Mountains and considered Russian. Half of the Russian population lives west of Ural Mountains.

You need to stop snorting whatever Zelenskyy is taking.

Four or five years ago Europe had 1.5 times the factories, but not today. Russia has gone all out on military production, that's why their economy grew at 4.3% last year, which stunned the west. Uralvagonzavod has produced nothing but military weapons for the last two years. Also Russia has built more military factories. Basically they have all the essentials they need and have gone into a full military economy.

Zelensky Is About to Lose This Round to the Peace Moves

President Trump has effectively sidelined Ukraine’s Zelensky. He has already spoken with Putin and plans to meet him soon. Meanwhile, NATO is feeling the pressure as future U.S. support appears uncertain.

While NATO leaders may protest, Trump is shifting the responsibility of defence onto European nations. In truth, this is a positive move. It redefines NATO from an aggressive and defensive alliance to a purely defensive one.

Russia’s leadership is struggling under the weight of war. Its economy is in disarray, ranking only seventh globally, leaving it in no position to launch new offensives unless provoked into an all-out confrontation. That didn’t happen in Ukraine. While Ukraine put up a strong fight, it ultimately could not withstand Russia’s military pressure. The result? Lost territory and 200,000 casualties.

Then came the U.S. leadership change in January 2025. The new administration took a different approach, signalling a willingness to pursue peace. While the U.S. remains at odds with Putin, peace has taken priority. Zelensky’s and NATO’s opinions carry little weight in this shift, and it now appears that peace is finally within reach for Ukraine.

Going forward, European nations will be responsible for their own defence that is the Trump doctrine, and he intends to stand by it in his effort to make America great again.

For the Ukrainian public, weary from years of war, this may finally be a welcome development.
