Indian Politics and Democracy

Another post (I can't find it) this time by a white about the problems with India. Well written and frankly everybody has experienced it.

If I was a politician in India and I cared about the people I was supposed to represent, I would prioritize two things:

1. Cleanliness
2. Civic hygiene (cleanliness inclusive, but lines and fines and other stuff like this, no bribery etc).

These are the biggest complaints that people have about India. Everybody knows India has 1 billion + people, but people are very irritated over how dirty it is and how corrupt Indians are (cut lines all the time, bribe, demand more money, try to play stupid games to make extra money etc).

If I can find the thread I will post it here, but it's well written

Please do not have the typical emotional reaction of a 5 year old. Pause and think.

His first and third points are true. Auto wallas target tourist and non-indians, sometimes even indians with these antics, big city auto wallas don't even use meter they just tell whatever price.

Third problem is same as first, these begging gangs see non-indians as easy prey, cause no indian is gonna believe in their drama.

"Gaming the system" is pretty consistent habit of indians, always looking for ways to cheat. This thing overall needs a mentality and cultural change. Which I honestly don't know how can be done.

It will be generational. We can't plan for tomorrow, but rather plan for 10, 20, 30 years down the road. We plan only for tomorrow. That's the biggest issue. Cultural shaming into using dust bins, shaming IAS or whatever everybody gripes about all the time for being useless. I don't know, but something desperately needs to be done. One thing I will say is that Modi has been a 6/10 PM. He fixed a few major problems but either created or revealed an underlying rot.

As predicted earlier, Punjab's sikh population is going down quite rapidly due to out-migration. Sikhs also have some of the lowest fertility rates and highest female foeticide rates. In a decade or two we might see a Punjab wehre sikhs are no longer the majority.

2023-2024 Punjab Religion in 3-8 age group:
Hindu 45.7%
Sikh 49%
Muslim 3.4%

In the 2011 census, Sikhs were at 58%.

58% is overall sikh population, while 2023-24 data only is for 3-8 age group. those outside that age group probably push overall sikh population over 50% . But yeah decline is quite shocking, Sikhs will probably no longer be majority there by 2035

Nah 2035 is too early, but maybe sometime in mid-late 2040's. These types of changes in demographic births will take atleast a few decades to show up in actual percentage numbers and the older generations need to die out first.

Sikhs still comprise majority births in younger generation. However, its their proportion of births as a percentage of population that is declining very fast.

Meanwhile Mullah numbers have also gone up rapidly.

More than Sikh numbers declining it's peaceful numbers increasing that is worrying. This is basically Western UP population along with Mewat & Delhi based peacefuls mostly who're migrating there, the same groups who've increased the peaceful population in Uttarakhand & HP.

Then there's the Hallelujah gang whose true numbers are almost never reflected in censuses across India. Incidentally that's one of the biggest scams unfolding with very far reaching consequences across India be it Punjab or Andhra Pradesh.

You could've gotten an AI to write most of this long winded slop, 90% of it's not even original and I wouldn't even be surprised if he pulled some anecdotes out of his ass ie the masturbating part. This handle frequently seems to signal to wignat prejudices and the QTs and replies predictably has a proliferation of those variety of subhumans.
It's not that we are averse to any criticism on how we can improve but a legacy of being at the wrong end of a 'civilising project' from certain quarters is reason enough to err on the side of caution with skepticism.

Isn't that the reason female only coaches were created? For women's safety because of people like that?

Those exist only in Mumbai local trains because of overcrowding during peak hours. In metros - which is what he was referring to - there are no female coaches or ladies special trains. You still find women in the General compartments.

Islamists think that adding "bhakts" in a sentence is some type of proof of their statements authenticity.

However we have to appreciate dedication to their religion.

Tbh I can understand from a foreigner perspective being confused between local train and metro train. Also it is a little bizarre, and doesn't help the Indian case, to have segregated compartments based on gender.

Also this is extremely embarrassing, seriously. Modi has been in power for ~15 years. What has he managed to do in terms of civic infrastructure? Place still looks like ****

Edit: Btw, whatever the **** happened to the Indian Neutrino Observatory!???

Go ahead and mock me. I'm not the one that promised to turn the country around lol. I'm not the one that wanted to turn India into an international visitor's ground, only to leave it dirty for everybody to see either. Haha.
