Honestly it requires multi year planning to mitigate this issue. Need to take care of stubble burning, regulate industries which is releasing air pollutants and water pollutants, Switching of Coal power plant to Nuclear, Solar, Wind, BESS, Removal of dust in roads, Dumpyards needs to be fixed.

I have some bad news in that regard. I spoke to a person who was developing a medical device which we are currently importing. Basically, it is a hardware startup. Ofcourse, software will also be written by the same company. They are trying to build the product end to end from hardware to software. None of the scumbag VCs were really interested in funding them. Even modest funding of 50 lakhs was difficult to get. When they got a opportunity to pitch to a VC they had no idea, one guy asked whether they can include AI in it.

On the other hand shit loads of companies which are not solving any problem are getting funding. A company called Swish which delivers your food in 10 minutes got $2 million in funding from Accel. Indian startups are more into services rather than deeptech startups. Most VCs and angel assholes only invest when you have a IIT and IIM tag. You can present the most stupid idea if you are from IIT/IIM and you bet there is some moron who will open their wallets.

And you are missing the forest for the trees. Why does it matter that the kilns were in UP/Haryana territory. The point is that the nearby kilns in those areas are contributing massively to Delhi's air pollution and those are in the NCR region. Read the news article again. It says:

The Supreme Court-mandated Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority (EPCA), in a recent meeting with authorities of Delhi-NCR, said that polluting brick kilns will be given one last window to operate — from March to June 2018 — after which they will be shut down permanently.

They are into services because only that makes money.
Vulture Capitalist asked for AI because that is the "trend" right now, AI === even more funding money from some other source, high valuation etc.

If you're in a hardware startup worldwide it's a pain to get funding, multiple times more painful here where our domestic suit boot baniyas have 0 risk taker appetite and your imported VCs won't bother.

For the life of me I've never understood how's it illegal constructions come up on government land without the said authorities ever being aware of it .

This illegal structure was built in 2011. By all accounts in structures like this it may have been a temporary structure. When no one took much notice or raised an alarm read the right palms were greased with the right sum , further construction may have taken place replacing the temporary structure with something permanent.

Following which comes the expansion & before you realise it the entire ecosystem & paraphernalia which we're used to seeing in places like this comes up just like that . What were the authorities doing all this while ? If this wasn't deemed a security threat given its proximity to the upcoming international airport project this illegal structure would've continued & flourished.

We've recently had the SC take a very stern view of bulldozer justice prescribing a stern list of do's & don'ts to render immediate demolition impossible even going so far as to rule in favour of the victims being compensated from the pockets of the offending babooos .

However I've yet to see a single ruling by the same court prescribing similar fines on the offending babooodom for turning a blind eye to such illegal constructions. What does this say of the priorities or thinking of the SC ?

Whatever you may say, this is not a good sign for Adani and will tarnish Modi's image, like Congress was smeared because of Augusta Westland case. $265 million is huge amount and if proven true, Modi will face huge backlash.

Btw, the indictment is based on digital evidences found from the devices of the Adani executives and will be admissible in court. Justice Dept of USA may be influenced by Soros, but they have been tracking Adani since 2020 and FBI doesn't file indictment based on light evidences.

It literally does all the time is why FBI has a very low success rate in cases that do not involve violent crime, compared to many other nations.

Well, I have read the charges. Those are pretty serious. The evidences listed also seem to be quite extensive and detailed. Clearly they have tapped the devices through court warrant. Also, it is not 'news' that bribes get paid for contracts - all over the world. But the sum is huge.

TBH, the amount of bribe paid for the prospective return also seem off. $2 billion over 20 year period is actually tiny for the amount of bribe of $265 million.

Anyhow, I held onto my Adani Green shares through all the dramas before. But today I offloaded them. Not worth the risk.

Serious charges does not equate to serious evidence.
As i said, FBI has one of the LOWEST conviction rates in the developed world for non-violent crimes. This means FBI has one of the lowest thresholds of evidence required to press charges in the developed world.
