He vouched for Trump earlier and waited for him to win. India could take tough decision pertaining to it's neighbors which didn't happen in the past 60 years. On business and trade, India may have to negotiate more on duties.

Every single developed economy has been voting out the incumbents - irrespective of their ideological leaning because of a fucked up global economy. Heck, even the LDP lost its majority in Japan.

The polls were skeptical of trumpwa because he was just too polarizing, unpredictable and spouted crazy shit all the time - but turns out that the avg Joe was so pissed off that they did not really care.
