its is ada project but hal is making the prototype, and these mfking hal people push deadline by 6 months every coupe of months, some were saying prototype out by august sept, then some said by year end, now 2026 prototype rollout, then first flight idk, and this is with mk1a lru and not mk2, there was some document on sf which said first prototype will come out with mk1a lru

i think they are delaying it due to engine deal signing delays, they dont want to roll out a prototype with f414 and then say that some other engine would be used because burgers didnt sign the deal, they are trying to prevent embarrassment

I've said this before and say it again.

This is only a time-pass work generation project for HAL/ADA/MoD babooze

IAF is not interested in Tejas/Tejas Mk2 or AMCA
They only want French maal now and American 5th gen Wunderwaffe in the future.

Which results in absolute non-serious execution of this project at every step of the chain.

In other news the Admirals have started construction on an XLUUV of their own design, nobody seems to know such a thing was in development 🤡 but it's getting built now, this is aside from 16 ASW-SWC and 7x Nilgiris which will be inducted in next 2 years

they have had collaborations with the PSUs to get shit done
they have managed to push through Impoorts via 🪛 for things they need badly, like that Atlas towed array sonar
Collaborations with Private Sector also to get shit done.

OTOH you have this on the other side of the fence ADA/HAL/MoD babooze/UN Airforce genrols/Mudi being chindi etc etc

I am merely stating what the DRDO chief said barely a couple of weeks ago, because they are the ones who own this project.
Now what happened in between those 2-3 weeks is anybody's guess.
Is this HAL's fault or a supplier fault or even a slip of tongue,we don't know.

Also, funds for the program were only released in September 2023, so the T0+36 rule applies from September 2023.
The chart holds no water.

That institutions like ada, ade and legendary hal consider these things as science and technology experiments nothing much


He has said mk2 will be delayed to such an extent that iaf will not induction it and it will remain as TD.
Amca and rafales will our future according to him.

Let's see how his prediction lands

dont worry, this forum has just started producing psu baboos, soon we will produce upsc babus and we will take over south block and do our indigenous dalali. the day is near. i can see many of us in dholpur house giving our upsc interview and main reason to jooin civil services would be indigenous dalali.

The only thing guys at HAL can do is mithai baatna
Random unimportant XYZ part indigenisation ki mithai
Random babu/neta ke aane ki khushi me mithai
Non-existent kaam ki mithai ( THEY have celebrated AMCA metal cutting a year or two before)
Virtue signalling ki mithai (Swachh Bharat Yojana ki saaf safai ki mithai)

This pace when pakis might get j35 and china might want to have a practice match before going agaisnt taiwan is pathetic.
The only other thing they can do is bully the private sector via the L1 bidding system by taking advantage of the fact that they are a PSU.
Kaam dhandha nahi karna hai, bus agla celebration ka reason dhundhna hai, govt should privatise them overnight and let them fend for themselves.

It is so because IAF will never accept it.
Some or other drama will be there.

Therefore even these DPSU baboonz take it lightly and only use it as an employment generator
It is why PMO/MoD doesn't bother much.

If IAF was interested in getting deshi jets like IN is for building ships you'd have 200 Tejas mk1a in service today.

As IN has shown via their template there is a cure for all the problems, if you don't like the designer design it yourself, if you find the builder is lazy insert your own retired/deputed officers as the management.

But if your goal is acquiring a specific French fighter jet model now and American 5th gen fighter in the future then what can be done?

As we have seen it's very easy to go around the merry-go round of blame game and act like an innocent saint yourself, it's very hard to actually get your deshi project from CAD to in-service if the "customer" is not interested

MoD also need to give nod for them to do roll out. Maybe some file from ADA is stuck in some pile in MoD. We all know the prototype is almost ready from the leaked pics, info from interviews etc.
