Doesn't matter how experienced the pilots are, mistakes can always happen.

Remember the US Bangla air Q400 crash in Nepal. The pilot was super experienced and also a trainer at the airline. Thousands of hours in that type, yet made some basic mistakes leading to the crash.

The massive Air France crash over the Atlantic was similar in the way the crew completed mishandled stall recovery and basically kept losing altitude till they crashed into the sea.

So many such incidents with experienced pilots. Unfortunately humans are fallible and mistakes do happen. Fortunately, they are exceedingly rare and air travel is literally the safest mode of transport.

AI assist should be incorporated in newer planes as the cockpit of these planes look quite scary.

This fuel contamination accusation will raise shitstorm among our petroleum companies - Reliance, HP, IO, whoever supplying the fuel + ground crew of Tata group. We can expect their CEOs soon calling presscons.
If really it turns out to be reason then the company would be severely punished by GoI.

Well, it looks like a precautionary measure till Black box is decoded.
So like i said, FMC programming (incl. fuel & takeoff parameters) by pilot before each flight, EEC test are to avoid pilot error.

No, there is nothing to be scared of today's glass cockpits once you understand the functions of all buttons, switches, knobs. They don't need operation continiously like seen in movies where actor pilots are always touching something.
Our house for example has so many switches for light, fan, cooler, AC, water pump, water filter, chimney, etc.
Remote control of TV, music system has so many buttons.
You put all these functions & buttons in a vehicle, it'll look complex.

But i agree that airliner cockpits need more sanitization by more automation, better ergonomics, better symbologies, including some AI to reduce even intentional human error, sabotage.

Tomorrow's airliner cockpit could be with AI, voive & gesture control, virtual cockpit.

If you want to be scared then look at old 747 analog cockpit which looks like nuclear reactor cabin

AI cannot do anything if you have a dual-engine failure at low altitude. Technology cannot compensate for a compromise in maintenance.
