Actually this has been wrecking my brain for quite long. Aadhar Numbers should be renewed/reissued with new set of numbers periodically. I know I know we shall have very large numbers But hey we can manage with with by using some Number compression technique This shall ensure minimization of fake adhaar cards. Having Ancestry registered with Adhaar shall stem addition of fake members at some point of time because population can grow but not your ancestors... I think a thread where we discuss how aadhar could be made more robust - should be created- given many are in tech and processes domain here.. who will do the honors?

Better Policy and Processes can minimize corruption - just like Direct Transfer introduced by this Govt reduced Middle men a lot in payments. Its does not eliminate corruption as corruption can exist in other forms. - But then that holds true for whole world.

What about the bjp workers themselves that were murdered by tmc jihadi goons,the women that were r*ped? Was it all "Survival of Fittest",Modi's ignorance to it all?

Permanent deployment doesn't suite the Military (Military requires special training and deployment regime to stay fighting-fit). If not BSF then it will be some other Central Police Force doing the same job.

Disbanding bsf or replacing it is not the solution but placing under defense ministry. BSF is border defense - our rough vague equivalent to national guard. This shall introduce better coordination with Army on defense needs. This shall also reduce burden on Army for LoC duties. Agniveers - who dont make it into Full time position in Army can have second stint in BSF - Thereby reducing Training costs.

Saar You have to understand this is golden opportunity for BD's non Hindus to sneek into India. Just look at previous post that you posted of a BD driver who is Malsi but has a Hindu Adhaar Card. What does that tell? We have to be aware. Hindus need to approach Embassy or consulate in BD - and the Govt can decide how to accommodate them who want rescue.

Those who voted for the right wing governments for the ideological reasons and are unapologetic about it are reaping the benefits, see UP, MP, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra for example.

Violence in Manipur is mostly fueled by tribalism, got nothing to do with religion. That is how they have been operating since the time immemorial.

Injecting a significant "military element" into something which is essentially a police force having peace-time border management responsibility has not delivered the desired outcome anywhere. This has been tried by several countries, only to be abandoned later.

As far as the national guard in the US is concerned, it is necessary because of the nature of the "civil law enforcement" in that country. In the US, the states don't have an exclusive control over the Police Forces and there is no separation between the "head of state" and "the head of government". It is a very different system than ours.

Yes, switching sides just to save own skin never works. There is a saying "those in the no-man's zone get one from the front and another one from the rear". The cowards are first to get culled in a mayhem for a similar reason. Neither side takes them as their own.
