Bharat Rakshak Forum Issues

yahan par bhi kuch hai so called experts in special forces who think they know everything but this is screambowl and I will nail them. I have been reading their crap past 2 years how they fool and keep people in dark.
You are welcome to correct anyone here but don't go overboard with it. Correct people with proper facts and figures.

A certain level of moderations is always required.

An open forum should allow flow of view but not of abuses. Things go haywire quite easily and foul language is used immediately.

It is ok to not agreeing with others, but your disagreement should come in a civil way.
Yes and yet posters were banned for disagreeing at all. They cannot even tolerate dissent of the civil kind anymore. BRF mods are just power hungry vain people who only wants regular posters to meekly accept their views and lick their feet, especially Rakesh, hnair, and Ramana

More like a Victorian Era literature club, that being said lots of gems in the BR, that we must appreciate regardless of different views and opinions we have.

BRF, remember I went there hoping that I will find some good information after hearing rumours that veterans and all there. Expected that there will some exclusive information on current developments.

After a look into it, let's say, my disappointment was immeasurable and day was ruined.

DFI had it own flaws though, with younger audience you tend to see lot more panic/hysterical posts during farmer protests/ post balakot strikes, Indo china standoff etc. Lot of ad hominem between members which would span pages and less focus on the matter in hand. A good balance of moderation and freedom to post is always welcome and I hope this forum focuses on that.

We need to inculcate strategic thinking, analysis and also fact checking. Accurate assessment goes a long way rather than living in fools paradise and comfort zone.

thats totally fine but in dfi you could have held an 'opinion' while people would bash you but never do they ban you until you break a policy fair and square

demography does have its own flaws but a younger audience is usually open to opinions and discuss them (things get heated sometimes) thats whats important other wise it would be same old thoughs rolling in a drum in some form or the other which is happening the brf but i dont think its an issue its mostly due to the demography of that forum (old men doesnt like younger or different opinion its natural)

Yaa, that's valid, but never logged into BRF so didn't face the moderation issue. I went just for information.

Also the UI just sucks...

Never quite understood their registration process before .
How can you have customised e mail ?
It is been a decade or more since they opened up a window for a few months to allow new members on any email. Most likely it was a reaction to DFI getting popular. Since then I have forgotten how to register and stayed on board with them.

TBH they were very kind to me and always got a response from their main members on various posts.

Probably I only have posts less than 30 in total. I was more of a lurker. The forum was elitist and boring like a hell on technical issues as many wanna-be IITians kept lingering on the topic just to show their prowesses in science and mathematics. Mostly picked for the internet.

Many were congress-I apologists like we too had many at DFI. But after Modi, there was a flair of new nationalism which was later contained by them for the same gora sahib mentality.

A forum should have both i.e quality discussions and carefree discussions bordering trolling.

The trick is to do it in the correct sections. In this forum for example, moderating should be very lenient in the members corner.

Like all things in life, "balance" is the key. Neither too strict nor too lenient.
It depends more on the members to be honest once the moderator adhere to the forum policy they themselves established.
Members can read and interpret the rules to put their argument in an intelligent and crafty way such that they do not bypass the boundaries.
Reporting a post that they feel is abusive as well as not letting yourself get rolled up in a cycle of abusive and low effort trolling. Using data to back your facts and defending the authentics of the data they produced.
These all make the forum run smoothly on the members end and make the moderators interference unnecessary.

In this regards I favour the Turk posters, they used to stick to specific threads and dodged getting into religious and social aspect.

The Chinese is where its becomes difficult. They seem to have an entire team wity TBs of data which they post and update regularly while mixing in some propaganda here and there. Makes them almost impossible to moderate.

Sirji , you do know that DFI was banned in Chyna , so DFB must be banned there too.
All the choinese posters are propagandists , plain and simple.

BRF posters, seem to be NRIs , almost all of them.
They don't seem to live here., almost every old member there is an NRI.

There are a couple Chinese posters that I do not mind missing. They bring no value to the forum and just spam the forum unnecessarily. As for the turk posters, one of them is all right but the other one gets offended too easily and start resorting to abuse at the slightest provocation. Can do without that attitude.
