Whatever military tech you received from the US was enough to kick start your indigenous defence programs . Besides it's not just the US we're referring to , the entire western bloc was in bed with you much after the Tiananmen Square Massacre episode which saw the US ban exports of defence related equipment & tech to China.

After all China's not Paxtan or Egypt or even DPRK where absorption of technology is limited or non existent . As you grew your industrial base so did your ambitions soar along with your budgets.

You received the full ToT for the Spey MK.202 TF from RR of UK , you also received the full designs of the Israeli Lavi which resulted in your J-10 FA , you reverse engineered the CFM 56 high bypass TFs from CFM International , you almost received tech from Israel for the Phalcon AEW systems before the US stepped in to ban exports & so on .

In fact military co operation between China & European countries continued clandestinely much after the Tiananmen Square Massacre incident only to cease somewhat in the 2000s .

Druing a nite hiking now, see guys working on water networks. In my district all the underground networks like Internet, gas, water, electricity are all IoT-lized. There is no a single telegraph pole on the road, all intergraded into underground smart networks.

Once the technology been invented, massive application is the key to cost down.

Same.apply to rare earth supply chain, China anyway has 60% electric devices and 70% EV productions.

true but you can not understand where is going the economy unless you have higher knowledge you think China is all flowers and next USA, I have economic reasons to know that is not true, and those economic reasons confirm my spiritual reasons, so I am not a Mexico uber alles, but you are a China uber alles.
