Chit Chat

Today one of my acquaintance expired suddenly. He was 46 yrs old, developed a heart condition after covid, so term insurance was rejected. His salary was around 10 Lac per yr, was regularly paying taxes, has two kids of around 10 yrs and 7 yrs , was staying in a rented house. His family does not know what to do. I was just wondering what will his family get for all the taxes he paid, in fact the hospital bill was paid by his company. Atleast the government should provide a term insurance to all taxpayers depending on the tax they pay.
It's high time government stats considering middle class, salaried ppl who pay taxes religiously as human beings.
I'm sorry for your loss. I've a few queries which I think most members here would be benefited from as well.

If he had a term insurance before COVID , how can the insurance company reject his claim if the condition he developed was on account of COVID ? Moreover how was the discovery made ?

The reason I ask is it's not a rare occurrence nowadays to hear of guys as young as 23-24 suddenly drop dead of a massive heart attack. It's been so after COVID. It's not usual but not rare as well.

He didn't have a term insurance before COVID. Post Covid ,he had diabetes . After the cardiac event he tried taking term insurance and was denied the same

Ah , the way you phrased it , seemed like his claims were rejected.

@haldilal @SKC bhau and all, any scope for 'tracking indian judiciary' like threads in any relevant sections, keeping the recent IT laws in mind and ever butthurt :troll: cautious nature of our lawmakers, administration, judiciary and all?

@ mods,
the aqua coloured page setup was working greaaat , was eye candy .. but guess it was under trial and was reverted to old one.

We really need a thread about our whole constitution and discussion about various stupid laws and to evade unnecessary trouble
