I genuinely believe Indian society has been cucked somehow. The capacity to innovate is totally absent. I think it stems from the cultural belief that people who think "outside the box" are to be shunned. You can't innovate if your thinking is confined to some arbitrary social norm, that is clearly not working.

Edit: I started with Malaysia but the start points weren't even close. I asked Grok for a country that mirrored India in 2014, and it gave me Vietnam. That is why it says Malaysia and not Vietnam.

yeah it's sold here at my local jan aushadhi kendra too, they'll even take order for bulk purchase

BUT

when it was launched it was being sold for whooping 2300-some rupya for something that's labelled as Whey Protein Concentrate or WPC (means ~80 percent of available protein in all that maal) is frankly expensive 🤷‍♂️

seeing lackluster response from people, they reduced its price to now 1500 rupees

but on amazon and other supplements websites, WPC per kg is still cheaper ~900-1000 rupya range so i'd still think it's a bit expensive...for 1500 rupye they should offer 1 KG of Whey Protein Isolate or WPC with available protein in 90 to 95 percent range...or even Whey Protein Hydrolysate with 80-90 percent protein content is better

But sarkari whey is chocolate flavoured and with sweetner too l, isn't it. Does any known brand offered 80% concentrate flavoured at such price.

haha well my point was that serkari generic stuff should be priced appropriately, hamare hi tax ke paise se chala rhe sab after all (also protip, why don't they join hands with fuckin' Amul instead of outsourcing it to random pharma companies...)

hhmm 80 percent is like defined protein upper limit for WPC, actual may vary,

and under that tweet there's a video by someone who got it tested in labs for heavy metal contents and other things, turned out lab tested protein outcome is somewhat lesser than what was printed, i'd say ~70 percent range

as for taste and all, personally i'm ok with blandest yuckiest of stuff if it's nutritious enough, i'm aversive of thought of getting diabetes so i stay away from sweetened stuff as much as possible, even if it's artificially sweetened or flavoured
