And that folks is why Rishabh pant is the best Indian wk batsman in test cricket his 60 was as good as 100 on this minefield of pitch
Didn't see this particular match or most if not all the series except follow the match occasionally on Crickbuzz for score updates but this match is being played on the SCG which like the MCG has been known for its true bounce on the first 2-3 days assisting pace bowling following which it starts getting low assisting spin on the last 2 days.

It's rare to see seam movement except when the ball is new & usually on the first day especially in the first session or 2. After all this is Oz not England or NZ.

Traditionally that's how the Aussies like their cricket & prepare the pitches accordingly. There are exceptions like Perth which supports extreme pace & bounce. So I wonder why is this SCG pitch not playing true to form unless they've tinkered with the pitch especially for this series or in general have changed the nature of the pitch.

Besides Pant played in his usual style - hum hum hain , baki sab pani kam hain & so did the rest of the team. Have you checked the RR of both Pant & the rest of the team ? Seems like everyone was in a hurry to rush home.

Today's hero Beau Webster was once an Aussie league football draftee. It's important to remember that for most Australians who aspire to pursue a career in sports, becoming a cricketer is a distant second choice. In fact, legends like Shane Warne, Andrew Symonds, Ellyse Perry, and many others initially pursued careers in other sports before ultimately finding success in cricket.

This pitch is not like traditional SCG pitch at all it has alot more grass covering the ball is zipping from good length to a bouncer it's coming hard on body lots of body blows this game. The batting is gonna get harder tomorrow we need a decent partnership tomorrow morning to get over 200(looks unlikely) and then bowl them out which we can but without Bumrah it's gonna be hard.

Watch his interview at lunch. Don't even know where to begin there. Full on bombaiya slang and even felt the need to say I am father of 2 kids, not sure why.

His brother in law has the PR part coveted. Not a coincidence he married Bunty Sajdeh's cousin.

Injured rushed to hospitals for scan came back at the end of the day.

Kohli was captain most of the day today.

The news is he will come to bat but can't say for sure if he will bowl tomorrow.

Exactly heard it and didn't like it one bit hate him and ganguli so bad mfs have ego issues. His family takes care of pr and his friend takes care of taking shots at Kohli, ganguli and everyone else he doesn't like.

Pant has 101/326 runs scored by Indian batsmen in this game.

South Africa playing safe for an reason, I think Australia may want an shot on BGT with 3-1 in mind to gain trophy and eliminate India from WTC Finals.

Match is balancing on a thin line.

Cricket nerds can watch this from 5:00-9:00 on what Kohli's big issue is, that part is in English.

At this point when you have been getting out the same way for 5+ years. I'm sure he would have got advice from everyone including his coaches in ICT and his childhood coaches as well. If he is still not able to fix its a fatal flaw. Let him grind in the domestic tournaments for a while (maybe skip the IPL and play county) and if he is playing well then only he should be on the squad to england

He had this issue for more than 10 yrs, Anderson exposed it ruthlessly in the 2014 series and he batted out of the crease to cover the movement and compensate for it in the next tour where he made runs. However what this does is that it gives you less time to react and as you get older you're obviously that little bit late due to slower reflexes and that's all you need to be badly exposed. Normally when the ball moves around, you play as late as possible and develop backfoot scoring shots square of the wicket on the offside so that you release pressure while knowing where your off stump is but he never bothered focusing on that and strokeplay wise Kohli is perhaps the most limited 'top batter' we have produced so everything gets compounded now that he is older. He is left trying to steal risky singles like in Odis to release pressure and putting other batsmen at risk too.

As for domestic cricket Kohli's last domestic match was in 2011, even Sachin played one in 2013.

His average has dropped to 46 now and with 5 match series in England where he has been poor. His average will drop below 45 if he plays all the tests. Unreal decline from being in conversation among the test greats to a player averaging in the mid 40s
