How did this even happen? According to what I read so far online, this guy doesn't even work in Drdo, he's a forget officer of some kind. And the first article on this published 3 days ago by ToI said these were fake docs and material, but now today they are saying these are real.
How fucked up is our security and how long will we be ok with this 'chalta hai' attitude. This needs to stop, and I dont think we can continue to rely on any government or organization to bring this attitude change.
It should start in our homes. Brothers, (and any sisters who are members), we should start this attitude change starring with us and our kids, we need to start making accountability a second nature for our kids, they need to learn what we were never taught as kids.

But can It really achieve those speed at lower atmosphere where air is thicker where it's supposed to fly during its midcource and terminal?

He talks about a German research institute finding out that the interception rate of russian kinzhal missile by american patriot battery is 25% only.
And it requires Salvo firing of all the launchers of an entire battery(32 missiles) to have any chance to shoot down kinzhal missile( quasi-ballistic air launched ground attack hypersonic missile).
This can also tell us roughly about the effectiveness of our shaurya missile and even LRASHM.

Wake up pal , we are deeply deeply compromised as a country, first it was the ruskies, then US, then chinka, you just have to look at the sort of aholes who head state govts and the people in power to put 2 and 2 together. Not to mention free hand to pissfulls to build mosques near military and drdo and other defence institutions as well as the infamous Nambi Narayanan ISRO case. Foriegn intel just bypasses central govt and deals with corrupt state actors. Manipur Mizoram Kuki Nexus is another example.

Everyone mentioning hypersonic but exactly what type is it?
As far as multiple threads and discussions many think it is just like shaurya but with better tech and speed

Shuarya Is a hypersonic "pusedo-ballistic" cum cruise missile.
This Is a hypersonic pusedo-ballisitc cum "cruise" missile.

It has better lift/glide ability, more manurabilty, better control, can do terminal maneuvers and can Attack moving targets.

You can also consider it as an powered HGV which has pretty low glide ratio but pretty high manurabilty.

As for a type, it doesn't fit any traditional category.
It's unique, India is the only one with this.

Top speed has nothing to do with endgame speed. Velocity vs time graph is never a horizontal line for a missile, is varies.

Boost, burn-out, glide, re-entry, pre-maneuver, post-maneuver...which one's Mach 8+!? If it's just the re-entry velocity then not a big deal as ballistic missile (pretty much same to this LR-AShM in terms of motor) regularly go beyond Mach 15.

If it's Mach 8+ in its endgame phase then yes, it's pretty much a wunderwaffen that as of now only we have.

Re-entry or mid course.
Most likely need to be under hypersonic in terminal(higher supersonic hope fully mach 4+) for RF seeker to properly work in finding target ships.

Only way this missile's development makes sense, if it's mach 8 after it settles in for the final spurt. It could even fly hypersonic (after reentry) towards the engagement area, slow down for target acquisition, then go balls out again after it prepares a course. Obcourse I have no idea of it's propellant load and am just talking out of my arse here.
