Hope we go for Naval AMCA which should carry 4 x Cruise missiles in its IWB....
And use those TEDBF funds for initial development of 6 th gen jet or ghatak based bomber.....
That cruise missile should have dimensions similar to sea breaker missile to be able to fit in AMCA iwb....

IDK the complete video or transcript but the current TEDBF design could be scrapped or heavily modified. Bcoz MWF will fly 1st so 1st-hand delta-canard expertise will come through it, no need for redundant Naval delta-canard, basically same airframe design. So MWF can act as TD like X-35 & final Naval TEDBF can be stealthy like F-35C, although inflated to 2-engine AHCA. 🤷‍♂️
So, ideally a bigger Su-33 size airframe would be required. To hope for Naval AMCA, 1st DoD needs to show custom weapons for AMCA's IWB (not just SAAW), increased IWB capacity more than 4 AAMs. And then will-power to modify AMCA or cleansheet design AHCA. But the 1st step of RFI/RFP itself is missing. ⚠️ 🚨 :fyeah::gtfo:

This is more important than counting every single trm on these radars and all. These are signs of how mature our radar tech is getting. Things are getting more and more compact and efficient.

Yes, watched this already and pleasantly surprised that they are working to further improve the packaging and efficiency of TRMs. Its a good company if anyone invests in stock market.
PS: Is it possible to follow modular architecture in radars too, like having prepackaged TRMs in form of tiles with its own cooling system and everything else and just bolt it on swash plate as tiles to get radars for different platforms.

Now look at that gutterchap BEL screwdriving radars since eternity. All our radars of future are gonna be from private players. Astra Microwave is doing Uttam. Some private company is doing future naval radars. The long range space radar is also from private company. Of course all with LRDE in partnership. But production quality, private player own r&d can be expected that too very fast.

Not just radars. Artillery guns going to private sector. Pinaka order spilt. Light tank order .
Private sector is being involved in every sphere of defence manufacturing to multiply our capacity and improve quality.

This is one of the biggest achievement by Modi.

Well, if Stryker deal gets signed, then what would that make Modi...... I can't think of any positive thing
Anyway, I have pretty low expectations when sons and daughters of Vishwaguru netas are already there in US and some are even citizens there as well.

You will have a lot more exposure to what's going on.

I am seeing an movement in Gast Trubine development. Till now we are shouting about FTB and other stuffs. But we also get into account that till now GTRE manufactured this turbines very similar to Lab grown prototype. Moving into actual production is a big challenge. In last few years we are seeing a lot of manufacturing process is being ToT to Private companies who are slowly manufacturing Kaveri engine components eg. Godrej, Azad Engineering, HAL etc.

With 130KN test facility coming up. Next will be the FTB procurement.

This F414 deal is also for understanding certain critical manufacturing process of turbines. This will be reverse engineered by DRDO/GTRE and then shared with production partners.

Definite work is going on.

A deal here and there will keep going to USA Russia and France . Because we will depend on them for next 30-40 years for existing critical systems be it rafale or scorpion or p8i or c17/ c130 and all kinds of helicopters.

Zero import doesn't happen even for America itself.

What matters is overall movement towards indeginous systems.

If not for modi lca would not be a 300+ jets program which it is now. Before we used to import all 800 of our fighter jets.
Now we are building 300+ of an indeginous design. With Amca and upcoming drones we will be building almost 70% of our jets indeginously. within next 15 years.

Most of our radars have become indigenous.
Most of our missiles are now being produced indeginously.

Helicopters fleet will be mostly indeginous with lch , luh and imrh.

People are focused on wrong things. We can't go 100% import to 0% just because we got out of bed and voted modi.

This will be a process and we are getting there.
