DRDO and PSU's

We need a ATLA of Japan or DAPA of Korea like Agency to run all the Procurement related aspects. Clearly there seems to be a disconnect between R&D Wing-DRDO and Production Wing-PSUs, Private Players, UN Forces and MoD. We need something that reduces the saying of Forces Specifications and tune down then to realistic and have final say.

This post was about inclusivity, acknowledging low level employees of the organisation, who might've felt happy to feature on official Twitter handle. Just like tier-2 attendant of your college workshop.

They can make their benches or bartan dhona or whatever. It's just that the world doesn't need to know about it.

And whats worse is that Tejas is marketed as HAL-Tejas . Imagine some potential foreign customer or enthusiast going through their timeline and seeing all this kind of stuff. At the very least, hire someone reasonably competent to do the PR.

Sometimes prime ministers mann ki batt asks for suggestion ,we can write there how we need such agency.

Having your own waveforms is good, but I was hinting at features, a fully loaded hand held radio can cost upwards of $30k.

We have lots to catch up on even infantry level radios, not talking about special forces radios.

US has more then 20 waveforms, let’s not get into that mess

These days you can get encryption on most of the waveforms so as of now India doesn’t feel the need to have its own waveforms but moving away from DMR is hydra

the "catch up" is a permanent feature in India story, it is a opportunity cost that needs to paid because of paths not taken decades ago both in economics and national security.

IA's SDR RFP came out in 2022, that's what was being showcased.

last known info on IAF's efforts on research on waveform, is from a month back. probably DRDO has it's on track on waveform.
