DRDO and PSU's

Not just Army.. This Stryker like all Foreign mall procurement is a product of Modi's defense diplomacy.. [practised by governments before Modi as welll].. where in India buys defense equipment for certain geopolitical favors in return..
In reality they don't benefit financially it's peanuts for them. It's the military dependance and distancing between India russia cooperation.
They're dream is to end India russia military cooperation. which is holding and is backbone of india russia relation.

But in case of Stryker it is more abt dependance as there is no Russian involvement really I don't believe this peanut would incentivise them put so much effort here.

Multispectral stealth solution - I mean what, coating?
We have developed stealthy conformal antenna tech configuration for AMCA but now they want stealthy antenas in them, am I right ?

IIT kanpur is doing really great in terms of stealthy materials/ metamaterials.

Lpvo is reversely fitted

Why is it such a big deal that he has to get fired for it? Mounting a scope backward? Can't believe that it would warrant destroying an illustrious career. I think it was just an convenient excuse to fire him due to political reasons.
Yep, knowing and studying the US military, I am 100% sure he wasn't fired just because of the scope situation.

Really good approach of having a different testing agency it will surely reduce the errors and bias.

And with new indigenous engine this will be a great addition to our arcenal. We can produce however much we want, whenever we need.

we keep hearing of "uprated engines", does it involve changing core design of engine block?

Don't think so, Alpha defence is saying it is four stroke engine of second generation instead of first gen, that's the only change.

Not much inner details of the engine are available but seems a normal diesel engine with some material changes and filtration systems.

BEML on its website showcase every single construction equipment at its arsenal. But till now never seen an BEML equipment's employed on Road constructions, never seen BEML showroom for selling this products.

Only seen TATA-Hitachi, JCB and other brands like Eicher.

in india's case, PSUs exist to serve a defined purpose. during normal course of economic activity, their role is not so pronounced. but when $hit hits the fan, there needs to be organisations which gormint can order to carry out commercial activity even if there is a obvious commercial loss.

private companies are not designed to operate at a loss, since their primary accountability is to their investors and shareholders and gormint ordering private companies to operate at a loss is not viable. like if there is a big cyclone, what are the chances airtel will be willing to send it's employees to repair their cell towers before NDRF clears the roads, but BSNL can since there will be established protocols for it.

so in the debate of gormint selling of PSUs, utility of a PSU should be ascertained not just for normal economic activity but also for periods of potential immense economic disruption should also be factored in.

Fewer and fewer college attendees for the traditional engineering courses, non existent respect for true blue collar work - rampant drug abuse and societal dysfunction in the states that host these shipyards.

Democrats being democrats, defunding of some of these yards, so on and so forth
Not to forget the rampant woke nonsense now spreading through their universities and societies.....china really is winning by subverting US society without fighting a war I feel.

Only adani ambani and tata can do this

The above factory was inaugurated in February and is already producing ammunition.

Adani has a ammunition factory operating with just 18 workers.

Sure they can Also build missiles and bombs as well if gormint gives the go ahead.

You cannot hope for PSUs and OFBs to scale, that's next to impossible, they are 2 decades behind in technology.

of course this will cause some people to chug cyanide pills like the comment below.

The second comment sums up the state of our country and why we can only dream of becoming a supapowaaa yo !

Do we have any domestic equivalent for Allison transmission? Anything under development or planning?

Indian Companies do not manufacture any automatic transmission. Our Companies only manufacture Manual Transmission and AMT.

Other than that we import Torque Convertor, DCT, CVT from vendors like ZF, ASIN, Hyundai (Supplies Mahindra and TATA).
