Field Evaluation Trials of indigenously-developed Nag Mk 2, the third-generation Anti-Tank Fire-and-Forget Guided Missile, were successfully conducted recently at Pokhran Field Range in the presence of senior officers of the Indian Army. During the three field trials, the missile systems destroyed precisely all the targets - maximum and minimum range, thus validating its firing range.
The Nag Missile Carrier version-2 was also field evaluated. With this, the entire weapon system is now ready for induction into the Indian Army.
Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh has congratulated DRDO, Indian Army and industry for the successful field evaluation trials of the entire weapon system of Nag Mk 2.
Secretary, Department of Defence R&D & Chairman DRDO Dr Samir V Kamat appreciated the efforts of all the stakeholders for making the missile ready for induction into the Indian Army
Range 7 to 10 kilometres. Its predecessor was the Nag Mark 1 (4 km range).
Lets wait for more confirmationHehe... even the kind of weapons LCH carries don't cost even a third of 17700 crores... even if bought in bulk.
Forgot the main sub-systemWith respect to Prachand.
1. Dhruvastra Integration needs to done.
2. ARDE started working on 20mm Turret.
3. 70mm Rockets. Our IDEX Startups have few rockets in their kitty.
4. Mistral Air to Air integrated.
If we are going with Order, hoping Dhruvastra integration will be coming months. Hope HAL works with ARDE, Startups for other weapons integration, instead of reinventing the wheel.
It was never supposed to be.
I can bet all the offset money has went into the accounts of dalals.
