It not about how big the budget is but using it effectively is what's needed. Every year, a large chunk of the unutilized budget is returned back to the treasury...particularly from IA and IAF

Govt itself is happy at keeping defence budget at 6 decade low in % to gdp terms...this terror attack along with Bangladeshi, chinese hostility may finally awaken them to reality and stop the delusional rants like 'this is not an era of war'
