If I were at Vishwaguru's place, I'd offer them a buy one, get one free kind of deal (or maybe even get two for free), just to spite those turkroaches.

Anyway, on to the subject of Project Kusha. Is it just me, or the projected speed of these interceptor missiles is kinda on the lower end (especially when contrasted against the likes of Arrow 2 or the THAAD)?? Could any informed member share their views on this, please?? @randombully @fire starter @ezsasa @Azaad

i am presuming, you are imagining ad system is like a bullet hitting another bullet scenario.

we can use this video below of interception over haryana for reference, the ad presumably BARAK8 coming in from the left, and paki rocket/missile coming from the right. the AD missile slows down and places itself in the path of the paki rocket/missile, warhead detonates when the paki rocket/missile comes in proximity.

in our kind of scenario where interception has to happen within seconds after launch because of near proximity of paki border, speed of the ad missile alone does not determine it's success. like barak8 fins and tvc has to work in tandem to get the warhead as close to missile as possible. Project Kusha M1 and M2 have fins and TVC.

Kusha is s400 category not Thaad category.
The mainstay 48N6 missile of s400 has similar max speed as projected in kusha.

S500 is in Thaad category( anti ballistic), though s500 is designed for more wide applications than thaad.
