this presentation was completely a flex, they are just showing how to do work with less delays

question - what is this er sam? never heard of it? does he mean to say kusha?

Isn't it written it's an extended range Barak-8? In India we'll call it ER-SAM if we induct it.

Er-sam is long range version of barak-8/mr-sam, Israelis use it, israelis basically added a bigger booster to barak-8.
Seems drdo is " also working/has plans to work on longer range version of mr-sam".
But again, don't take it as a guarantee that it will be made, especially with overlapping role with missiles of kusha.

Ok guys hear me out, even the Hypersonic Cruise Missile will reduce its speed to supersonic level in terminal phase, So, my question is why can't we have LRAShM like missile with a Ramjet engine for terminal phase?
We can "probably".
We with lrashm targeting ships in terminal phase at mach 6+, means it's seeker can work in low hypersonic speeds despite the atmospheric interferences at those speed, though again lrashm has relatively big seeker because it's a big missile, scramjet cruise missile is supposed to be smaller than lrashm, to fit on ship and even carried by fighter jets( without booster, on su30mki), plus significant space will be taken by its scramjet engine and intake, Don't know if a smaller seeker can work at hypersonic speeds effective enough, but possibility Is there.

What do we have for 100-400 km? Only mrsam and project kusha?
Minimum engagement range is more important, patriot batteries can't shoot down anything if it gets too near.
While barak 8 has the minimum range of just 0.5km
shortest among any other sam that gives massive advantage to us in case of missile strikes.

For long range we don't have anything other than s400 right now and kush long range is decades away

Most of the stuff the Admirals put on ships is not ((( Imported, therefore The Besht ))) unlike a certain other force but considered "good enough".
It's why they still run those AK-630s or the RBU or anything else but with deshi upgrades like Binayak sir has revealed.

I guess they either know they will get a "No" from the babudumb political leadership for importing new sub-systems, or said imports are too messy to get, or they are too expensive or all these reasons combined.

For e.g there was atleast a 10 year drama over the Atlas Towed Array Sonar import/domestic assembly because DRDO was failing in their deshi TAS development and they wanted ((( more time saars ))), therefore on their end they were doing something to block the import.

Now ofc Atlas has signed a 🪛 deal with deshi company so the Arnala class and other ASW vessels will get these.

Y'all are kanging over more VLS but IN doesn't have a UVLS program in development, max you have is the VLS being developed for the VL-SRSAM.

Ideally they should make a VLS that can fire atleast 3-4 types of missiles, even if all are SAMs and build all new missile models to conform to this VLS spec, some experience is gained with VL-SRSAM VLS development already.

UVLS is something I don't think IN will talk about everywhere. Till now we did not see any ounce of P18 designs. Definitely, UVLS, Integrated Mast, IEP were in consideration. So they are working on it. It is just deciding what kind of Missiles we are going to pack.

IMO , Kaali 6 SLBM is Official 🕉🇮🇳☢️🚀

:bump2: @dfi_pk

SR SLBM -> Short Range SLBM ?

MR SLBM -> Medium Range SLBM ?

IR SLBM -> Intermediate Range SLBM ?

IC SLBM -> Inter continental Range SLBM ?

K15 , K4 , K5 are known and what's behind that person K6 SLBM ?

4 SLBM's in TOTO ?

K6 SLBM ?

If K5 is 5,000 Km SLBM
Then is K6 a 8,000 Km SLBM ?

How the hell, these guys forgot to check whether the screen is hidden or not.

Looks like User Trials may start soon. This is going to be Tri service missile with Land based, Air launched, Ship and Submarine launch variants.

Are these basically the same missile or are they different derivatives of a main Nirbhay missile

"Nirbhay/ ITCM / LRLACM / SLCM"

Like basically Barak-8, Akash NG and Kusha M1 have the Gangadhar hi Shaktimaan hai vibe inspite of the internals being different.
ITCM was prototype with Indian engines while original Nirbhay used Russian turbofan engines, real thing is LRLACM which has 1500km range, SLCM is submarine launched Nirbhay for our nuclear submarines.
