So this is traditional missile looking vehicle which stays powdered for long time and has surface which gives muneuverability of a hgv upto a certain distance, and much better controllability. It uses its humongous energy to do maneuvers like a hgv otherwise it can go much longer distance if followed a usual projectile path of icbm.
It's kp would inversely proportional to range. That's the case with all hgvs but ours is powdered. And much better controllable to be used as effective anti ship weapon.

The distinctions are very fluid and with time multiple things have been made that kind of overlap the definition

Just like some loitering munitions are still called loitering munition when technically they easily qualify as a cruise missile

I suppose it doesn't glide much but rather uses its sheer kinetic energy to muneuver with its control surfaces instead of just following projectile path.

While muneuverable re entry vehicle do the same but there degree is much lesser than this hgvs.
They basically use atmosphere & control surfaces to achieve muneuverability of higher degree.


While other hgvs use the lift in order to target at longer distance with muneuverability.

1st stage diameter ~ 2.45 meters
Nose cone diameter ~ 2 meters

Fins near nozzle , For initial trajectory shaping insted of Flex nozzle ?

This is actually crazy if this is true..... a massive 3000-4000km range high supersonic cruise missile, most of the flight phase is in 20-30km altitude regime

I always believed we need very long range conventional vectors of 2500-4000km as our main centres of value are near the border whereas same is not true for china where majority is towards their coast side. They can come near border and shower missiles upon us whereas for us to do same would require much longer range vectors.

I hope rocket forces take this in their thought process and atleast start planning for such weapons. First start is getting LRLACM with a range of around 1500km I believe as quoted multiple times. Nirbhay and ITCM were 1000km missiles??

Maybe add Conformal fuel tanks like KH 55SM to LRLACM design to increase range. And then go for stealthy designs like KH101. Make bigger CMs for long range. Add countermeasures to missiles itself like chaffs and flares inside missile body.

I am positive that our CMs will have to hit to range out to 4000km to pose some kind of deep deterrence.

This part is where a long range bomber fleet feels necessary apart from other roles like missile truck as antishipping role.

And once we get our LFRJ get going like manik, we can attempt a DF-100 approach as well.

All I want is nothing but to see our rocket forces grow to such a strength that Chinese will think 100 times before trying to launch any kind of vector on any of our cities or inner infrastructure in case of a war.
