Solid rocket motor Vs turbofan engine; so it'll obviously look different.

As for diagram, look at any genric cruise missile from Kh-35 to Babur...it'll be more or less the same

IN has ditched the Elta EL/M 8222 SPJ on its MiG-29K and replaced them with Talisman pod from Belarus OEM, Defence initiatives. It's a two pod jammer system. Can jam atleast 20 RF emitters simultaneously. Can jam datalink of command guided missiles and proximity fuses of missiles. Also acts as a RF Maws. Can track Manpads at a min distance of 1300 m and warn the pilot.

Each pod weighs only 60 kgs. R-73 wvraam can be carried under the pod. So in effect, the pods don't occupy any hardpoints.

Also the thrusters are placed as further front as possible the lever arm is longest, generating maximum turning moment. If placed too close to the actual rear thrusters then it may cause the missile to "skid" instead of turning

RCS thrusters are almost always placed perpendicular to the fuselage as that's the only way to use the total force to change the yaw or pitch.

After just a few meters from the launcher all the four divergent thrusters are fired (notice four separate plumes), so how can they be used later?

And stop questioning others. People like Indranil wouldn't have talked about the RCS in Vshorads unless he had solid proof. He has seen more docs earlier which led to him to say what he said and you in your all knowing wisdom laughingly dismissed that as impossible and proceeded to post a pic of PAC 3 MSE.

Ok, I forgot to mention. Regarding the contribution part, I was the first person in the entire multi verse of defence reporting , fanboys, professionals, amateurs, etc to correctly identify those EW pods on MiG-29K as Talisman.

Others were reporting it as an Elta spj.

Im sure you put in a lot of effort, but presenting your opinions and ideas as gospel truth and defending them as if each was a hill worth dying on is a bad habit. It will lead to nothing but an unconstructive discussion.

On the topic, not sure of reaction thrusters are the way to go. It seems to be useful for maneuvering, but IMO the focus in MANPADS should be range/kinetic performance and weight, both of which VSHORADS is lagging in. Next item to focus would be flare/CM resistance.

In the manner in which MoD goes about its daily work of procuring stuff ,it gives out a lot of information.

Besides there are innumerable Tier 2 and 3 msme and companies whose names we haven't heard before who contribute to projects of national importance. These companies gives lots of detail about their products in their presentations and brochures. The listed companies give out annual reports and quarterly reports. Then there are presentations by DRDO senior scientists at various engg colleges and industry meets. They contain lots of information.

Like from a recent report by previous DRDO boss, we got to know that there's an extended range variant of K-15 called M5 under development. We got the pic of entire K4 missile from that.

Where do you think Porky Kicker gets his stuff from? He is an encyclopaedia in these things.

I know a very small part of the stuff. Even then like the others who know I refrain from posting .

Infact, there are guys out there who have part drawings and details of some exotic stuff. How do you think Indranil da knows so much? Neutron X provides him the required info in form of docs and pics taken from various sources.

How do you think we came to know that AD AH is a three stage missile before AD-AH model was even known to us? There's another missile called AD AM in this phase which PK knows about.

Infact Neutron X posted the first pic of LRAShM two years before. How do you think people know of the diameter of each stage of Veda and K5? Some out there know the exact dimensions of the stages of our Agnis and K series missiles.

Now the problem is those who know stuff, they are usually very grumpy about sharing them with other less knowledgeable folks like me. I know some bits and pieces here and there and some more stuff but nothing even close to the likes of Porky Kicker.
