not a surprise a such, when the number of times the word interoperability comes up in bilateral statements over the years are counted.
there is slim chance muricans "need" Indian equipment in their theatres (as of now). muricans will need their own equipment they are familiar with, just in case some joint op needs to be conducted in our part of the world.
these are exploratory concepts, what exact shape these things will take after say 10-15 years, only pentagon and NSC knows.
Year Occurrences of "Interoperability" Document Type Context 2015 3 Joint Statement Defense cooperation (RDT&E, 2015 Framework, DTTI) 2016 1 Joint Statement Cybersecurity and open Internet 2020 1 Joint Press Statement Enhanced defense interoperability between armies 2023 1 Joint Statement Cybersecurity and interoperable Internet 2025 2 Joint Statement Defense sales and maritime patrols
One of the other copes that Gessler came up with on the other forum, is that this Stryker Javelin scheme is to setup a 2nd site for Stryker and Javelin production for the Americans, which is close to the "Pacific Theatre" while not actually being in the range of Chong missiles.
It could also be that a certain chunk of our troops will be fighting with the Americans to use in their wars( e.g defence of Taiwan ), so that's why they need to be comfortable with American standard stuff like Javalin and Stryker
However i find all these as cope theories onlee.
The truth is all these are jaziya purchases the result of arm twisting.
