For all you know this may be classic double speak or Al Taqqiya by the Iranians. Use anonymous handles on SM to keep their followers enthused by excoriating India & then use official channels to deny everything.

RN Iranian top leadership is stung by lack of support from any & every quarter. That includes India. They can't complain as well since they were more or less silent in the aftermath of Pahalgham & offered to mediate during Operation Sindoor IIRC - one of our red lines.

If they go complaining to the MEA, the latter would kick their arse. Hence this can be seen somewhat as a outreach out towards damage control.

Yeah but putting out this post from official Embassy handle and including an image to very strongly suggest that these accounts are being run by ISPR influence agents, IMO is pretty strong messaging (is beyond scope of usual double speak).

Maybe so but since when are Iranians known to be good faith actors? Their Supreme Leader has been pretty vocal on Kashmir. I've also written plenty of times on the support they've extended to Kashmiri Shi'a terrorist groups right thru the 1990s & for some time later.

This is apart from the inordinate influence they command from the Shi'a community here. India has a purely transactional relationship with the mullah regime. Believe me if they're gone you won't see much tears shed in South Block.

Members here may point out towards issues like the North South Trade Corridor or access to Afghanistan & Central Asia but for the former we've a replacement in the Indian ME corridor & as far as Afghanistan & Central Asia goes the entire surrounding regions are in turmoil in any case. If it was Paxtan earlier it's Iran now .

Russia - a vital component of the North South corridor has been at war with Ukraine & relationship with the rest of Europe were killed then & there making the entire project DoA. Further we aren't importing any oil from Iran nor prospecting for it thanks to Iranian games & barring the Chabahar port there's little to no investment in Iran.
