They never had that much production, they are contracting it on paper deliberately to show "India starving us saar" to the world. I mean most of that shithole is literally a desert and the only river system even without our interference had pretty low annual flow to have annual agricultural production per capita on par with India, in some cases even exceeding us, on paper.
