The problem with having some sort of a deal with let's say Munir is that, he is not permanent, most likely on his way out. Different Porki army chiefs have different personalities which leads to change in policies.

Munir was DG ISI during Pulwama in 2019. He considered it as 'unfinished business'.

He tried to make a loud statement in 2025 against India to get an extension of 1-2 years but goofed it up and got his country slammed by India.

With Washington angry at him for bungling the attack and not involving China into a regional conflict to get better trade concessions for US, his tenure will be cut short in few months.

I won't be surprised to see him with a 1-2 billion $ empire like Gen. Bajwa's Papa John's chain somewhere in London or Long Island in under a year.

Btw, if it had really crashed Martin baker would've come out with a notification about this. They usually do by this time around.

You are underestimating your enemy, an enemy whose default dharma is to bleed you by a thousand cuts.
Pakis will learn from this incident and will surely plug the gaps.

There are so many variables involved that's it's impossible to be 100% certain that you will win the next war, or always win the war owing to a larger purse.

I think government had 2 broader goals before they started this operation
1) To punish the perpetrators (Not fulfilled)
2) To raise cost and humiliate (fulfilled)

This will likely bring some short term reprieve, but a medium term reprieve was also possible.
Maybe under Modi there won't be a problem anymore, but Modi will not remain forever.
What about the 2-front scenario? Hypothetically, if we had defanged them, then we could have focussed much more on China for atleast next ~1-1.5 decades.
