HDI is a garbage index, mentioned multiple times before. As much of a shithole pakistan might be, nothing comes close to haiti. But then again, "it is published by "UN" hence it must be true" is the notion globally so we're supposed to believe it.

We literally have an LDC like kangladesh with sem2sem HDI as us as per UN, shows how credible it is.

At the end of the day UN relies on Data provided to it by the national governments. The Kanglus, along with Africans, often provide fudged numbers.

Having said that, you’re overestimating Pakistan’s living standards and human development. Beyond Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad, Pakistan is not much different from neighboring Afghanistan.

This is a country that has failed to eradicate polio, a disease even most failed states have eliminated. In fact, the number of polio cases in Pakistan is nearly three times that of Afghanistan. Additionally, Pakistan is currently experiencing a rise in extreme hunger and poverty, which has almost tripled in recent years.On top of that they have a very high school dropout and infant mortality rate. This, along with a very low per capita income, is the reason why they have an extremely low HDI.
