This is less west problem, more german problem.
Germans have serious permanent mass social psychological damage from ww2. They basically are the most polarized people on the planet, it just doesnt come off very easily because their polarization isnt even and libbu self-hater german outnumber hitler-german 200:1 but those are the only two types of germans u will ever meet - they hate EVERYTHING about german history/culture and even folk songs about 'yay mahaan germans' is big no-no or they are 'hitler was right' types.

A consequence of this in german soceity, is that Germany is the laboratory of ALL types of major top-down govt decreed changes, be it 'nope, brand shiny new power-plant ? canned !' or 'lets put orphan kids with pedos and see what happens ? yep. cool'.

yes, more and more of the west is getting that way, everyone sees it but germany has always been the trailblazer of the last 75 years of 'lets del *.* this and see what happens to soceity or lets insert unknown factor X in situaion Y and see whathappens'.

I am more or less from similar background , I spend most of my youmger life in a small town in NY state
near canadian border. Where I was always the only Indian in the school.

no wonder why u guys hv limited knowledge of indians...yes many indians feel jealous of other indian success. but reality is many indians feel proud nd keep supporting if any indian achieve big. u can see that in many reaction channel videos, where indians larping about other indian achievements. u can see this thing in people sirname case. like many name their sirname on famous kings etc, although they hv no relationship with them. like as:- maurya, gupta, harshvardhan etc. many associate themself with famous personalities. u can see its normal if any indian (even NRI) do big thing, than people telling others they belong to same state, city, village, varna, jaati etc. if u come to india, a unknown person never ask where r u from. but if u tell him u r from foreign, he give u special treatment than others. cant say this about city though. but in villages if their relatives or known person etc live in foriegn, they brag about it to other villagers. mind u still 63% population of india live in rural areas.

I dont have limited knowledge of indians. You dont have limited knowledge of indians growing up in a goa-sized place with millions of indians, nor do you have limited knowledge of india if you spend 4 years of your early teens there. I AVOID most indians in real life because most indians are petty people and too self absorbed. i am yet to see an Indian stop and let an oldie cross the road before his car, i do it all the time when i am NOT in a hurry and people look at me like either i am crazy or trying to show myself as some mahapurush, when its just 'i aint in a hurry, i dont mind waiting 10s for oldie to cross road'.
I am yet to meet Indian ladies over 40 who are not status-career-bullshit obsessed people in 9 out of 10 cases.
All this means, i pick my indian company closely and i like it that way due to abovementioned reasons. That doesnt mean i dont know indians or hang out arond indians.

Yes, india is a land of dichotomy. The people who dont matter or are total strangers worship foreigner for no reason. People who do matter and people who know you are butthurt about you being 20x richer than them coz you live in foreign land. thats how indians 'do'.
When i said i dont pretend to know how to solve Indian issues, it means i am no gyaani who's alpha and omega of hinduism, history (though i am close to being alpha and omega here), law, etc to know how to 'fix' indians.
The issue is how educated Indians like you have this nonsense 'mleccha desh' hangup to look down on PIOs and NRIs- encapsulated by the attitude that if you leave motherland, u suck. This is the fatal flaw i Indian thinking compared to those who succeed in disapora power.

You mean to say the people that built Angor Wat have less respect than someone who just stays in India. Respect is a multi variable thing. Staying and going is just one of the variables. You are fixated on this one variable and ignoring everything else.
