Rafale just cost too much and a little indigenous weapons will be integrated.
If we get same amount of freedom with su57 that we got with mki, that will be better than f35 let alone rafale.

Its a trap . You go for su57 then say good bye to local projects on fighterjets . Engines can't be replaced overnight .. We won't see AMCA before we are gandpa . I don't want that .

S400 gave us lots of strategic advantages with far lesser money , risk was worth taking . We did nt have such projects or technology back then . I don't think su57 comes with same strategic advantages. Also geopolitical situation was different back then , with india considered a solution to chinese adventures . Now things are different QUAD no more fancy and lots of use of the word "BRICS" in American circle though nothing much is there ..

No rafale or su57 can save us in next war with both china and pakistan coming together.

They still have some utility v/s Pakistan.

For launching Rampage and Harpoon (vs PN). Also once their AD net is degraded enough then for launching SAAW and other glide weapons.

But they very limited to no utility v/s PRC.

india is not buying anything because it would be super expensive and costly to maintain, and as this era is of buddha and not yuddha, so we actually are saving money which can be given to pichhda vanchit shoshit alpasankhyak budget. for example - saugaat e modi, etc...

Yes brother I did and I do. Ironically French are nice people, I never have or had any Issue. only issues I have had were with immigrants. Most of whom are illegal.
They have screwed many major cities Paris and Lyon to name same. And being politically correct is the biggest dilemma my French colleagues are facing.

French airforce ain't getting rafale for 280 million per peice, they are getting rafale for 100-150 million per unit, even with production rate lot lower than f35.

A "dry" Rafale, ie without weapon, spare, training, support is in the 100€ millions without VAT.

But when you add spares, test benchs, training equipments, bases accomodation, multi year support, weapons, offsets, specials goodies, the cost rises.
