Are you talking about EUV machines? Then we don't have to worry about it for now since we are trying to commerialize 28nm node first. For us upgrading to 14nm will take 2030 if everything goes well or worst case scenario 2035. By then most chip makers would be using NA-EUV. Intel already took delivery of this machine. Others like TSMC, Samsung, Micron will have them too soon. By then ASML might be allowed to sell EUV machine to us which will allow us to etch chips until 5nm. We will then be just few generations behind. No worries for now.

Hermes-900 can't fly for 30 hours nor can it fly over 30,000ft.

LoL they have no other option either, without a gas turbine propelling the drone it won't be cruising for 30 hours above 35000 feet. This requirement has been tailor made for buying MQ-9s.

This spec is between MALE and HALE, do tell me which Indian company can offer an indigenous or license made UAV that can mach these specs? None, other than the Reaper.

Neither Archer-NG nor Hermes. One is yet to complete testing, other is not reliable, and both don't qualify the requirements set.

Just for your information, ASML machines are made possible by suppliers in US, Germany, Japan etc. In fact it was not Netherlands who blocked EUV sales to China but USA. It is not Netherlands who blocks the equipment it is Uncle Sam which does not let other countries to be at par in terms of technology.

This never happened in our history , USA was never helping or befriended us. They infect supported our enemy and donated their top military hardware to them. USA was always on opposition.

I really don’t think this current government is so spineless that it will let USA ruin our defence forces.

May be USA deal on horizon we will forces to buy f35 with some sweet deal but higher price. But right now with diplomatic soup that USA is involved in because of trump . They can’t just make another enemy . We can survive without them but they will loose all control in Southeast Asia.

Max we will have to deal with Rafale in larger number. But if USA will threaten we won’t even buy f35 or any other military hardware from them.

Why don't they do such projects under Make 1 where govt funds best design by Indian companies? We have been pussyfooting on drone development for so long and now we again fall back to the cycle of screwdriverGiri ?

Govt doesn't have infinite money to bulk import gold plated maal and UN Import Marshall doesn't want anything Indian-made( only way to get numbers up to fight Ching ) so this is the only capability they will have.

In 70s Admirals were barely managing 3 ships of a class from a single DPSU shipyard with fully imported Russian radar and weapons.

Today Admirals have 7-8 ships across 2 shipyards for both Frigates and large corvettes where even all subsystems are fully or partially made here, Steel is Indian, Design is Indian and Shipbuilder also Indian.

By comparison across the same time span the Marsholl failed Marut, is failing Tejas and will fail anything else in the future.

In Todays Era of War US is encouraging the Euros, Japanese and Koreans to all ramp up production of their own sht because they burgers can't produce enough for themselves let alone to arm the vassals

In this climate our guys are still angling for imports.

Integrating the UTTAM AESA radar into Tejas is different from integrating it into the Su-30MKI. Tejas also needs to be equipped with the indigenous Swayam Raksha Kavach electronic warfare (EW) suite instead of the current Israeli EW system. Otherwise, HAL will have to integrate the UTTAM radar with the Israeli EW suite, which will take additional time and cause delays. But waiting for the Indian EW suite to be ready will also lead to delays. So, it’s more practical to continue with the Israeli radar and EW suite for now, until the indigenous system is fully ready.

first time hearing this indigenous "Swayam Raksha Kavach electronic warface suite (EWS)"...can u provide detail about it??? before i heard about mayawi or indrajeet (something like that) EWS....is this swayam raksha kawach is same EWS or its a next genration upgraded EWS?

Currently development and testing will commence.
Upgrade will begin in 2030.
All 12+84 super sukhois will be ready by 2035-2037.

i think if this is case...we r going to only upgrade newer delivered 84 su 30 mki nd new upcoming 12 su 30 mki. coz oldest su 30 mki is now near 20-25 year. if upgradation is after 2030, older su 30 mki become 27-30 years that time. they hv left 10-15 year service life (russian jets give normally 40 year service life) that time. not make sense to upgrade them with costly upgrades with that slow upgradation rate. may be they will upgrade few more su 30 mki (out of 84+12), which hv remain bigger service life.
